3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Resources are available for those who actively seek it out. Good for students who are paying out of state tuition fees, but considering those same students are not highly proficient in English, I don't know how well that works out.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: all i want to do is to get in and out of DVC. Im working hard to collect enough money and credits to attend UCSB

3 College Freshman

Student Body: a lot of the time i feel like i am going to get mugged on campus. there is a lot of sexual assaults verbally

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: textbooks are very expensive at the student store

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: The teachers don't reply regularly to students posts and questions. usually you have to wait a week or two for a response. also they take forever on grading

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: athletic centers, library and activities are completely out dated. In nearly all of my classes the dry wall is crumbling away. in my kickboxing class there are not enough puching bags for all the students and half of the ones we do have are broken. yoga mats are ripped and the dumbbell sets are usually missing its pair.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: always a long line for printing. network shuts down if you walk around.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: It is extremely difficult to register for the classes I need to transfer! also, some teachers I have had offer only 1 or 2 office hours a week and usually on days that I can't meet

1 College Freshman

Facilities: There are very limited academic programs. NO social scene. The facilities have not been updated since they were built. there are only two buildings that are new and one of them isn't even finished being built yet. not only this but I have been trying to get a counseling appointment this whole semester and now theres only 6 weeks left and I STILL haven't gotten an appointment.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Its extremely hard to get into the classes you need and the teachers are mediocre at best. (with the exception of a few)

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: They don't offer much at the facilities in regards to internships/job opportunities. the workload depends largely on teacher and class

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: they have lots of activities and clubs but none of the which interest me

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: they have everything, it is so nice

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: they make sure everything is working

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: some teachers are reasonable and they expect us to learn and dedicate us to our subjects but some teachers desire ultimate devotion to their subject and believe if we don't do that then we don't deserve an a, which is just their opinion of how you are learning and not what you have learned

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: i am currently declared as a sports med major and it is pretty fun but i want to be a doctor and they don't have a degree for that, i want health care management as my bachelors

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school continues to increase rates every year, i remember when a unit was 25 dollars and books were cheaper

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: there are a lot of people who take classes they shouldn't and for that reason they drop or fill up spots that other students could be using, they don't have the strongest medical curriculum but i guess that is okay

College Sophomore

Career Services: ,i hear there are services and i have seen them but never used them, they seem to be very useful for those who use them and i do plan on taking advantage of them this semester

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: there is a lot of diversity but there is a lacking in focus or direction

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: its stressfull, you have to take initiative in everything. you learn real quickly to get you life together

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: you have to do everything yourself or nothing is done. the staff are either lazy or hardworking all you have to do is keep persisting on something and they eventually do it.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: lots of asian people and older adults but everyone is relatively nice

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: library is nice lots of cubies to study and tables with outlets but limited number of computers

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Wifi is really good but you have to sign in every day. printing is confusing at first but you get used to it (10 cents/page, 25 cents for color)

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Students who choose to enroll at Diablo Valley College will be taking the first of many steps toward their future success. With more than thirty career and technical programs available, DVC offers students a great education. Students will learn technical and life skills that will follow them into any university or career path they choose.

The DVC campus offers a variety of unique experiences for its students, including the opportunity to meet a diverse range of people. There are also many activities that enhance the student experience, such as clubs, sporting events, student government, DVC drama performances, and concerts.

When students were polled as to whether or not they would attend Diablo Valley College if given a second chance, the vast majority stated that they would.
