Off-Campus Housing: It is just better to stay on campus, you save much more money and you are near your classes.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There's pretty much no off-campus living. There's a chance that you might be able to get a place off-campus, but it's very slim because everything is residential. Everyone lives on campus because any place they usually would be able to find wouldn't be in Granville and would be too far to be worth it. However, if you are able to find a place, they're usually cheaper than living on campus.

Off-Campus Housing: 98% of the college kids stay on campus. There isn't much accommodation available off campus

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There isn't off-campus housing. This is actually pretty nice and allows the community to grow closer. It can be a turn off to some, however, who do not like the small community atmosphere.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There really isn't any. Campus is too small for that, unless you count South quad as technically off campus, as it is away from the science-y area of the campus. It is, however, closer to the arts areas.

Denison University is a residential campus, which means the administration strongly encourages—and pretty much forces—you to live on campus all four years. Apart from a few exceptions (married students, single parents, students 25 years of age or older, or students living with parents within a 25-mile radius of campus), everyone lives together on the same campus. Some of the benefits of residential housing include not having to worry about finding a place to live, rent, or lease, which can be a huge hassle. Denison will always provide you with housing. Additionally, it would be extremely inconvenient to live off campus, since so much of Denison's culture is based on the fact that everyone lives on the hill. It would definitely hinder your experience of the community and caring feel of Denison if you were to live off campus. Living on the hill all four years really makes Denison feel like your second home, since you live, go to class, make memories, and have fun all in the same place.
