Online Courses: Not much interaction or availability for students

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I do not have much knowledge about the academic flexibility at De Anza

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: It's okay but not a very fun social environment. Everyone I've run into just seems to keep to themselves and only focus on their studies.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Certain subjects such as chemistry do not have classes offered on many different days or times. It may be hard to get the schedule you want.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I do not take online classes. I like in person interaction and learning experience.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: I really enjoy taking classes with certain professors. I believe film education is great in this school; however registration, and availability makes difficult for me to take the classes I need. Over all there are great professor and that is why I like the school. Other than that, I will say its and okay environment.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Every now and then there are representatives from many Uc's and CsU's, they are really great and really Communicate and inform as much as they can to us.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: The entire student body here is very diverse. There are many students that come from all over the world to learn.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Campus life is alright since most students commute and go home after classes are finished.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is a large computer lab downstairs near the MLC building and there is always a computer ready.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I can tell a majority of the students here are passionate about learning and are determined to transfer to universities and that kind of attitude resonates.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The student center is mainly just a cafeteria with a dining hall but it's a nice place to spend time with your friends while eating.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are plenty of business classes to choose from and the professors are very passionate about teaching.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Some professors can be intimidating and harsh but most are fantastic.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: The career center had many brochures and helpful documents.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online classes were very convenient as you could log on and complete assignments as you wish, just make sure to pay attention to deadlines. Also, sometimes contacting the teacher may take a while because you're not interacting with her/him face to face.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is affordable here for most students; it is definitely less expensive than state schools.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: There are plenty of times and classes available but it depends on the subjects. More in demand classes will obviously have more options.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Office hours for some professors are really limited and I cannot make it to some because of my schedule

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Our new Media Learning Center is absolutely amazing and really modern. There are study spaces on top and it is very quiet.

De Anza professors are exceptional. Most are young, lively, and diverse, and love what they do. By the end of the quarter, students will know their subject, assuming they have put in the effort, and transfer to their university of choice.

The beauty of De Anza is its ability to deliver quality education at a low price. Apart from academics, however, there are a few oddities that leave one befuddled. The bureaucracy is frustrating at best, and the campus is certainly not the quintessential college campus students see in the movies. Also, it takes a quarter or two to become acclimated with the campus, its surprises, and proper coping mechanisms. In conclusion, even with all of the College's impediments, students keep coming back day after day, decade after decade, for the quality educators De Anza has to offer.
