4 College Junior

Diversity: From what I have noticed, most students are open and accepting of one another.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I was able to receive some aid. The college is very helpful in assisting and informing.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Being a small campus it is easy to get to know other students. It is generally a friendly campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The atmosphere of the college is nice. The community is a friendly one.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I spend a lot of time at the gym. I have been impressed with the staff and the facilities.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: D&E is a smaller college . I have found the staff to be very personable.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Depending on your lifestyle, Elkins can be a good place to live. If you are into the outdoors there are a lot of options available.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are several eating establishments in Elkins. There is a large variety of types of foods offered.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I lived on campus for one semester and then moved off campus. Overall, it is a nice setting and rules are enforced.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The food is okay. I live off campus, but sometimes will dine in the hall. Finding a parking place near the hall is difficult. The lot is often full.

College Junior

Drug Safety: I am not on campus a lot other than to attend my classes so I can't say for sure what the drug scene is truly like. I know most kids seem to be pretty straight while attending and a lot of students in my program do not miss class. We are also subject to drug testing so I don't see a lot of drug use.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I really can't say for sure what experience students may have trying to find reasonable housing. I currently own my own home and when I did rent I had a full time job to cover the expenses so what may have been not so expensive to me, may be expensive to a student.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's small enough that you can get one on one time with your professors if needed and most of them are willing to go out of their way to help to the best of their ability. This is nice for me since I am a non traditional student, raising a family. It's also nice that you can pass by someone and they will say hello or smile, you really don't get a lot of that anymore.

3 College Junior

Weather: We have some pretty harsh winters which makes traveling somewhat difficult. Once we arrive on campus the roads and sidewalks are always nicely maintained. The only down fall is walking in negative temps outside from building to building to get to classes.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Since the campus is a small private campus located in a small community, I never feel that I am not safe. Everyone is very attentive and respectful of the campus.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are several chain restaurants and a lot of small privately owned businesses as well. My favorite is probably CJ Maggies. They offer a large portion for the cost, so there is always left overs to take home. Though they don't offer a discount to students, it is a nice place to go.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Living in a rural community we don't have things like public transportation or malls and things like that. However if you enjoy the outdoors this is a great place to be. The mountains are full of skiing, hiking, bike trials, fishing, hunting, etc.

4 College Junior

Academics: The program is very nice. All professors are helpful and provide as much insight to the field as possible.

College Junior

Greek Life: I wasn't sure how to answer these because our campus no longer offers fraternities or sororities.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Our campus is well taken care of and most if not all policies are followed and enforced

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It went well, its just I could have used more money to offset some of the tuition.

College Freshman

Majors: I have not had a Internship yet, but I plan to have one soon.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I love being a History major my teachers are entertaining and make me love my major more and more everyday. Although if I want a career in my major I will have to move.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms can be considered small, but the housing staff do an excellent job clean everything. So the campus is fairly clean even in the winter.
