4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I personally like the classes I'm taking at the moment but the teachers don't teach in depth with their subject and expect us as students to figure out the work and to establish how we may proceed in the work, then its hard to get the work done because deadlines are short from the day given the work

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Almost the same as the last questionnaire, except that the registration is very difficut, and talking to a teacher to get work straight is rough. The teachers are mostly concerned on their own work other than their students. There is some teachers that seem to reach out a lot better than the others and give good help in my class work.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I would say the students at my school reach out to others and try to get help for others. The students have many different ways of raising money for their studies and most have been interesting but not enough for a person to stop and this catch their eyes. Although the students work hard and do great jobs in class, their communication between one another is very limited.

Overall Experience: Davidson's community college is very interesting but doesn't meet my needs of education. The teachers teach well, just their level isn't as high as other schools that i wish to attend. Also the advisers at Davidson county community college are not very helpful I've had multiple problems with getting a person to help me or get my up-coming schedule straightened out.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Davidson county community college is a good school. The school shows a lot of interest in their many different curriculum's, and have had multiple entertainments to help raise money for these classes. The job prospects are very general and in depth. The school has a great academic record but doesn't teach their knowledge to the best of their ability's

Campus Resources: DCCC has free wifi. I take my own laptop so I do not use the computers available. However the network connection is almost always very quick. I don't recall ever having to waif for anything to load. I personally do not use the printers at the school either because, all of my classed require the work i have to be submitted online.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I would say that there is a vast majority of different curriculums offered at DCCC, however, none of the classes that will help me complete my major. I will transfer after two years there. Registration is a hassle to me. I am currenty waiting on a rely from my advisor which ive emailed a couple times. I have changed my major so i need help scheduling new classes. The work that I recieve from my teachers are reasonable and on schedule. They never pile too much. We have a wesite called moodle that helps us keep track of all our assignments and due dates. DCCC also offers the learning center where someone is always there to help you with your research papers or any school work, all you have to do is make an appointment.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have great teachers. They offer office hours to anyone who needs extra help and do it with a good attitude. I was recently sick and in the hospital and I missed an entire week. They were all very willing and understanding and helped me get all of my work turned in.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not recieve enough financial aid that I needed. My mother is a single parent and we don't get any help from my dad. She has one job that supports us both. She pays all bills and every expense that is owed on time. I was hoping for a little more help than I was given because in the end she still had to pay for some classes and all of my books

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The teachers have a quick email response time if you have any questions. They are more likely to respond to online students faster than in class students.

Academic Experience: Higher end math and science classes are very limited.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes you talk with student workers who don't know much.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The resource sometimes are very helpful. Such as the Learning Commons, sometimes I feel they are ignored with their jobs and sometimes I get ignored with them.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Getting Financial is a very good thing, however it put you in jeopardy for getting grants.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I have not really view other campuses, however I know that we have little invents at school for the community unlike other schools.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I am currently not looking for a job. My Aunt think it will be better for me to finish me education then start from there. Due to the lack of transportation, she definitely think it would be a bad idea for me to get a job.

College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I think they should offer some classes more often. Also allow more students in to certain classes.

College Sophomore

Career Services: Overall its a good school

4 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: Career services are very helpful because the staff will spend one-on-one time with each student helping to plan their futures.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The most unique thing about this school is that the class size is small and the teacher can be contacted very easily for academic help. The experience here is very personable.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The school's network is reliable, every now and then it will be down for a couple hours but not usually. The need for personal computer and printer is great since the computer labs and printers are being used by others most of the time.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The facilities are helpful but seeing as it is a community college, there are many adult students who often are crowding the areas. The facilities should be larger.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I am glad that I choose this school because last year I had a lot of health issues but the Dean worked with me and I am on track this year. If they make a decision that you do not agree with, all you have to do is send an email and protest. They will listen to your side and do change their decisions if you have a good reason for what happened. I was hospitalized both the spring of 2012 and the fall of 2012 which caused me to fail both semesters. They suspended me but when I protested and showed that the surgeries were unavoidable and were needed to save my life, I was allowed to return fall of 2013. My GPA will improve sense I am in better health.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The places on campus are not too bad. There is a library, a learning commons, and a small auditorium. It is not a campus that students live on but it still feels very comfortable and welcoming.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The Campus Resources are always causing and having problems. It is stressful for the students because the servers are down and its stressful for the teachers because they have to change turn in dates
