Tuition & Financial Aid: I have really enjoyed my time at Danville Area Community College. Not only because the majority of the classes I have taken have been from okay to very interesting, but because the tuition is very reasonable. During my first few semesters, I had a shaky start, and as such I have been taking classes at DACC for a bit longer than most students to are here for only two years and then transfer right away. Had I taken classes at really any school around the area, my financial situation would have been much worse off had I still had my rocky start at those other schools besides DACC. Obtaining Financial Aid has gone over very smoothly, and the workers in the Financial Aid Department have always been very helpful and understanding of the questions or concerns that I explain to them. I am a student that, without Financial Aid, I would not even be able to dream of going to college, community or otherwise. And I think a lot of students that go to DACC are in a similar situation as me. Some of the biggest, most helpful hints about getting financial aid is to never wait until the deadlines to submit any important documents. The earlier your forms and documents are sent in, the greater chance you have at obtaining any number of grants or extra funding besides just federal aid. With regards to my school, I would strongly urge both students and parents to go to the financial aid department together to ask any and all questions they might have about receiving funding. The workers there are so very helpful and have never made me feel lesser of a person or student just because I was getting financial aid. Some peers that I have talked to while at DACC are somewhat embarrassed because of their financial situation, but it is so very important to ask questions now instead of ending up losing or running out of funding because you were too embarrassed to ask questions early on.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial Aid has helped me tremendously in going to school.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition seems to be about average and financial aid most of the time will cover the expenses of tuition and books but sometimes is not able to cover other expenses. I am sure this is probably about anywhere a person would go to though.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process is a pain for me because i have to get all my moms information plus mine and then call the irs and get taxes faxed to dacc and so on.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: I was on athletic scholarship, so the majority was paid for. When it came to taking out a loan to cover the Spring semester, the financial aid office was slow and did not help much. I know that my education is worth it and I'm glad I went there.
