Student Body: There is some diversity in the student body at Danville Area Community College. Most of the diversity comes from ethnicity and maybe less so background. I say this because most students that attend DACC come from families that typically are not well off financially and DACC offers them the opportunity to go to college and obtain a degree. A typical student from my school would be one that isn't extremely focused on making friends while at DACC but is not opposed to to idea or against talking to a peer before, during or after classes. This student would likely be trying to get general education classes out of the way in efforts to transfer to a four year university and obtain their bachelors degree. Some students come from farming communities and others are from inside the city of Danville, but I've not met anyone who thought less of me for my background and I didn't feel that way of anyone else. Overall, interactions with other students has been very friendly, though typically brief as each student is on their way to another class or to get to their car to go back home.

Student Body: Everyone that I have come in contact with has been very helpful to me. Study groups have been formed to help each other out and it benefits every student.

College Junior

Student Body: My courses are either online or latenight with only 3-4 other students. I do not have enough experience with the student body to truly rate it.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body is average to most places. Some are very immature and act as though they are in grade school while you also have many that act very mature and are easy to get along with.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I am 1 of 3 girls in the mecahnics department at school and the only girl in the auto body department. of all the classmates i have had at school it is about half caucasion and half african american. Ther students can be smart and do good work at times, but a lot of the time they all get in a hurry and scratch other peoples cars and break things and are not respectful about other peoples property at all here.
