Academic Experience: Class registration at DACC can vary from very simple to head-ache inducing. The problems with registering are not because of how easy or hard it is to sit down with a counselor and get classes on your schedule, but because there are certain periods in the year that it is an absolute madhouse in this department. Tons of students, only a few counselors, and only about 9 hours out of a day in which counselors are available means that I actively try to avoid these timeframes. But in more laidback times, registering for classes is a quick and painless process. But I have learned that some of the counselors are not extremely reliable when it comes to making sure classes work towards particular transfer requirements, and because of this I try to always be prepared beforehand and know exactly what classes I need to register for.

Academic Experience: Currently, I am not in any specific major at my school as I am officially labelled as "undecided". This is primarily because DACC doesn't offer the exact major I am looking to enter into and partially because I am merely just trying to get my general education requirements out of the way, obtain my ASA while at DACC and then transfer to a four year university. Overall, the workload that I have faced for most classes is very reasonable. There have been a few classes in which the work just seemed to never end, but I was able to work though those classes and feel like I am a better person with better time management skills because of it. The campus is thankfully small, meaning that it is very easy to get from one area to the next in no time at all. Inside the buildings, some classes show some wear and tear, but generally the upkeep for the entire campus seems to be excellent. The entire campus, inside and out, is very clean and well taken care of.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I have reliable resources to be able to know exactly what it is I will be doing and what I need to get done in the process of trying to earn my degree.
