Nightlife: Mill Valley is about 27 minutes from San Francisco which has a fabulous nightlight. I rated it a B- simply because of the drive and traffic conditions. San Francisco however has anything you can think of available. Great music and concert venues as well as great restaurants. There are also lots of touristy sites to visit as well.

Campus Strictness: The policies are restrictive for sure, but since we are here to learn God's word and shepherd His flock, the rules and guidelines are well thought out and expected.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: All the apartments are fully furnished and equipped with a full kitchen and everything you would need to cook meals. The community living is very social and the amenities that are offered are superb

5 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is free and there is never a fight to find a parking spot. Women also get the privilege of parking in. Closer side lot

Local Atmosphere: Dallas is a very popular city to live in. There are a lot if unique parks and eateries that many people who live in the city frequent. Fort Worth is also very close to Dallas making this area a great place to hang out with friends.

College Freshman

Greek Life: It is a seminary so there are no Greek organizations

4 College Senior

Facilities: Student life consists primarily of on campus events; student housing has more events for those living in student housing. The library, student center, dining center and book center are popular hangouts.

Local Atmosphere: Dallas is a large city; there's all kinds of museums, stores, and local points of interest for entertainment. Lots of ethnic restaurants near the school.
The Museum of Biblical Art is a recommended must-see for all students and prospective students.

4 College Senior

Diversity: Diverse student body with a good percentage of international students. Lots of opportunities for communicating with students and professors from a wide variety of backgrounds.

4 College Senior

Weather: It snows typically once or twice a year, and classes are nearly always cancelled if snow and/or ice are on the ground.

Diversity: Excellent. Met people from all over the world. Very accepting as all.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Highly respected in Christian circles for Biblical study. Not nearly as theologically "predictable" as in years past.

Computers: I attend the online university and so far the computer connectivity has been great. Online classes work out well, sound and video are excellent. There have been very few glitches, but phone tech support will usually have things worked out in a jiffy.

4 College Student

Academics: The instructors are exceptionally knowledgeable and the online classes are excellent.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I am extremely happy in the MACE department. Faculty has been great and willing to assist when needed. I would not change this degree plan at all. Career goals is to be in higher education in some capacity. Love the collaborative programs DTS has with UNY and TAMU. I don't really have concerns yet about finding a job.

5 College Sophomore

Parking: Availability and convinent parking location and availability of spots are great. No difficulty at all.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Security on campus is great. Always around and viewable. Campus is small and buildings are next to eachother. Police offices clearly marked and special parking to protect the women on campus is a high priority.

5 College Freshman

Computers: The computer labs at Dallas Theological Seminary are wonderful. We have 2 separate labs, one for mac computers and the other is for pc usage. Each lab has several computers available for student usage during library hours. I've never had an issue with the reliability of the internet connection or speed. Everything is always up to date as far as the latest software and networks. Although we only have one big printer that everyone prints to, I've never had an issue with having to wait a long period of time for my papers to print.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I rate Greek life as an "A" for the simple fact that we actually do not have one. Since DTS is a seminary and everyone is doing graduate work, we do not have time for a greek life on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not to sure how the Greek life is since I am not taking Greek

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: this is a great learning environment and the students are all so friendly. The professors are encouraging and challenging.

4 College Junior

Majors: Excellent for Specified Group – DTS is a school for those interested in explading their Christian worldview, so the majors within are excellent.

Academics: Yet to Begin – I've yet to begin courses, but the academics are challanging, and the professors seem eager to help students learn, not just memorize information.

5 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: Less Than 10 Minutes Away – Less than 10 minutes From Deep Ellum in downtown Dallas, and 15 mins from Greenville Ave. you have a variety of options to choose from. Live Music, Spoken Word, sports bars, fine dining and anything in between. Just remember your witness.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Available Professors, Rigorous Work Load. The prof's at Dallas Seminary are dedicated to preparing men and women who are competent to serve the church with excellence, fidelity, integrity and knowledge of God. To this end, they strive to ensure that students are well versed in their material, especially in the knowledge of God, but also reflect a love of people in that they are available to challenge, sharpen, and correct our understanding of the material covered. In addition many mentor students so that there is not merely head knowledge but a living breathing example of love and leadership that can be passed on to others that we will be ministering to.
