Local Atmosphere: Dallas is a great city! There is always delicious food and coffee.

Local Atmosphere: Though it is Dallas Baptist University, DBU is only technically in Dallas, but really we say its in Grand Prairie, a suburb of Dallas. So if your looking to be surrounded by a hopping city life, go to SMU. If you want a campus that is just a drive away from the city but is more quiet and safe, go to DBU

Local Atmosphere: Dallas and Fort Worth are both very close by for tons of entertainment and night life.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: DBU is in Dallas, TX. Although there is no big thing around the school, one can go off-campus and be in Downtown Dallas in 10 minutes or less. Six Flags is about 20 minutes from DBU, and many students go here whenever possible. Some activities near campus include bowling, skating, the movies, coffee shops, and so forth. There are not many cultural events. The safety outside of campus is okay. You just need to be careful where you go, especially at nighttime. If you go to Oak Cliff, be even more careful. Shopping is always available. We have malls like Northpark Dallas and Galleria Mall. The baseball stadium is also about 20 or 30 minutes away, and the Cowboys Stadium is also pretty close by. Many of the Dallas residents are very friendly toward DBU students. They have hear a lot of these students, and they love them.
