Transportation: We have a shuttle service at DBU which is very convenient. They take forever to get around campus because they make so many stops but the campus is small enough that walking isnt a problem

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: DBU is very strict with everything. We have to attend class because attendance is taken and you can only miss so many. They do not put up with any drinking on campus.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The off campus housing isnt too bad, but its also not too great. Its not as nice as it is on campus. The rules arent very enforced there because it is off campus, and its not in the best area either

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My overall experience has been great and I would definitely do it all over again if I had too. DBU is a place where a Christian and a non-believer can live and grow together. This school is a Christ-centered school and you can see it and feel it too.

Campus Housing: The dorm life is what you make of it, wither you get to know the people in your dorm, or you be a hermit. The housing is great and everything is in walking distance.

Campus Strictness: Sometimes the rules on campus are a little overwhelming, but not suffocating. They are here to help us and not oppress us, to give us a safe place to live when we are at our home away from home.

Guys & Girls: People are good here, especially when you meet Christians who are on fire for the Lord. But of course, not everyone is a Christian, so there is a variety of people.

Parking: There needs to be more parking lots. The student body has grown and needs to find a place to put their vehicles since there are limited parking spots.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Whenever you need to fins a place off campus, the school helps you. There are great places to stay at, and most of the time they are better and less expensive than the apartments on campus. The only downside is that you are not on campus where the facilities are readily available at anytime.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are number of locations to go to. There are many fast food and also some local diners and "fancy" restaurants. These are great places to go to when needing to get off campus for a while and grab a bite with friends.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: This school does not tolerate drugs. We are a Christian school, and we stand by our faith and make an effort to keep our bodies and mind pure and clean from drugs and other harmful substances, whether they be physical or spiritual.

Academics: There is an internship part where we get to intern at various sites related to Political Science in some way, which is a plus because Poly Sci is very broad. The workload is not bad and the professors are great. They help you and can give you connections to other people in high places or in political affiliated positions.

3 College Junior

Academics: The professors are great and they know what they are talking about. It is awesome that they always try to integrate our faith (Christianity) into everything. That is what makes the school different. Not separating the Church and State, but showing that we can co-exist, is great. Otherwise, we will fall as a school and eventually as a nation.

Campus Housing: Living on the campus is awesome. You are close to everything - the cafeteria, librairy, student center, bookstore, and chapel.

Greek Life: Greek Life @ DBU is awesome. Great events and friendships!

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The campus has a very safe feel. It is a beautiful old campus with plenty of security and very well lit.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Dallas is a great town with much to do. DBU is about 7 miles from downtown, but there are many things to get involved with. There is line dancing and other fun things. Shopping is great and Cowboy stadium can be seen from campus.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: DBU from what I know is a drug free campus. If someone is doing it, the school has a strict policy.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: What is truly unique about DBU is the Christian atmosphere. There are multiple ministries to get involved in and so many amazing life-long friends.

Diversity: The diversity at DBU is pretty much the same as society. There are students of all races, nationalities, male and female that attend DBU. Despite it being a Baptist University, there are students who are not Baptist, or even Christian, that attend.
