Academic Flexibility: They give some trouble but still make a good impression

Campus Resources: There are so many resources on campus!!! There are free tutors for most subjects. There is a Writing Center with computers and more tutors that can help in english and science related writing homework. There is a math/science center with books, computers, and more tutors to help in any range of math classes. There is a good track and tennis field for athletes. There is a small gym that has good equipment. There is a small, but really good lunch place. Everything anyone needs is on campus!

Academic Experience: So far it has been great. I have taken many different areas of study. I have not taken any online classes so I so not know how that works. But overall the teachers do a good job of instructing. The one thing many teachers could work with is getting to know the students individually. It is really difficult to do well in a class when the teacher just shows up.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process is easy to fill out, but if there is any problem with it, it is very difficult to get it dealt with. One needs to have higher than a 2.0 , otherwise the smallest mistake can really affect how much financial aid is given. It is really hard to get all the financial aid once there is a problem. The office is also very slow and it is frustrating. The only good thing is that the fees aren't as extensive as a 4 year university, and all the fees have to be paid before a given deadline.

Student Body: It's a claim environment where a lot of people gland study

College Freshman

Online Courses: I haven't enrolled in any online classes at this point. So, really I can't put any input into this survey question.

Academic Experience: I have ran into some teachers that I didn't care to much for but, Cuyamaca overall staff is seem like a good group of people.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I filled out my fafsa form in February of last year and I didn't get my fafsa until November 16,2012. It was really frustrating because it was at end of the semester. I paid over 300 bucks for books out my pocket that I didn't have. However, the money I did receive was very helpful.

Academic Flexibility: I do online college so I was working at my own pace and it was a little bit more easy to work around my schedule which was better for me.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: overall I have enjoyed my time at Cuyamaca College, nevertheless some Professor lack the ability to connect and sometimes even teach to the students.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I got some financial aid to help with the cost but can no longer receive it because my parents aren't super poor. The financial aid office is also EXTREMELY packed!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The facilities on campus are in good shape. There is quite a few place to hang out on campus between classes. Overall. the school is pretty clean.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: My teacher is very thorough in her teaching and makes the hard material very attainable and relatable. We have ample hands on time in lab to work with the information and the teacher is extremely helpful in directing the class and working with us.

3 College Junior

Career Services: For the most part they are very helpful and listen to what you have to say. They help you the best they can regarding your needs.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid takes care of almost all of my education at Cuyamaca but the government and I are certainly getting our moneys worth. The education is nothing over the top but there are plenty of free tutoring centers and facilities available to student who need them computers, labs, study rooms, counselling ect..

5 College Junior

Career Services: The career services at Cuyamaca Community College are amazing! They offer plenty of programs and certificates that almost guarantee occupation after completion.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I am currently a student; however, the career service in cuyamaca is great. although the majority of time is very packed the people are always kind and helpfulness

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: the professors are really helpful and very qualified.

5 College Junior

Student Body: it is very ethnically mixed more than any other college i've been at.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: their are an ubandance amount of resources for students so this is why i rate it so highly.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Student Center Is Nice – Cuyamaca has its own student center and grill. There is also a snack shop, tutoring center, and computer lab. Watch out for some of the bathrooms though

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Easily Transferable – Classes are often hard to time to put together a schedule if you are also trying to work part or full time. However it is easy to plan your major and it is state beforehand what classes will transfer to the local universities

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Huge Variety – Cuyamaca has a huge variety of different students going to college for different reasons. Many students are full time students with a job as well as family or other commitments as well. Although they are busy, the students will often hang out in the student center and relax.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I Found It Exelent. Really convinient and fast to get the job done when doing the assingments and home work.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Atmosphere and professors – This is a great community college. Most of the facilities are brand new and up to date. The science and math center are of especially high quality. My main reason for choosing this college was its atmosphere. Some of the other colleges are a bit too high-school-like for me. Those colleges have rude obnoxious kids who are simply there to socialize apparently. On the other hand, students at Cuyamaca seem to be more focused and studious, which is hard to find at a community college. The professors care about the students also. They want you to succeed and therefore expect you to make an effort to. The material is often presented in an understandable fashion but if you struggle, the tutoring center is great. You are being taught by current higher level students who know your struggles because they also took those classes. The library is nice. There are more computers available than the students need and this is a good thing come finals when everyone is using one. I highly recommend this college for students looking to transfer to a UC or CSU. Professor Riley for Physics and Mr. Weinert for Psychology are my personal favorites.
