Tuition & Financial Aid: I had to pay a few minor fees for two semesters. I couldn't really afford paying them, so I had to lend from people. Overall, I don't like borrowing from people; if I had a job, it wouldn't be a problem. The fact that I don't have a job and I still owe money bothers me a whole lot.

College Freshman

Online Courses: I haven't had any online courses yet,but I look forward to having some in the future.

Academic Flexibility: Being a college student has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I've always wanted to have a glimpse of what being in college would be like. Having been experienced has helped me to be more mature in so many ways. Also, I've dealt with a lot of wonderful staff who are always willing to serve me. Overall, it's a great experience and I look forward to having even greater experiences when I start again in the fall.

3 College Senior

Career Services: They offer a great career service available for undergrad and graduate students. They also have separate free consultations for further help.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It was not awful but I will not be returning. If you want to really go places and get the experience that makes you stand out when applying for a job go to another CUNY. My best classes were with Professor Kuwiz, Mercer and Fischer in the English department and that is one of the few highlights. In the end this school is not worth the money they are asking.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I have only taken a hybrid online class.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I have yet to use the career services.

Student Body: The students whom decided to stay tend to be very motivated to finish their degree with little or no debt. It is not the most friendliest CUNY school but you'll find a handful of students to hang out with. Their tends to be cliques but that is only due to those students being in the same major. At least a quarter of the student body is immature but that can be found almost anywhere.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: It's easy to have flexibility at Medgar and very easy to transfer credits since the classes offered at most American universities and colleges. All but 2 of my 45 credits transferred to a top LAC. Medgar is nothing special.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Working with financial aid is the most painless process ever and they will go above and beyond to help students. I was able to get an additional $250 in aid on the spot. They are very nice and answer all your questions.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The nicest building is the Science building which is the newest building on campus. It also houses the dining hall which is an open and sunlit space perfect for studying.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Overall my experience was a mixed bag. In the Communications and the English department is where some of the best professors are. My writing skill have greatly improved since I began. I have had professors that are very experienced in their fields and teach more than what can ever be read in a textbook. I have also had professor that are next to impossible to get help from and can not control the classroom. The workload in light in Gen Ed classes but very discussion driven which helps develop critical thinking and speaking skills. The workload in most English classes is heavy and everyone will know if you did not do it since English classes tend to be small. Not many students major in English. The facilities are subpar and computers are very limited. The library is currently under construction so that limits books that are available.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The academics are limited to the basics in most majors with the exception of Social Work, Biology and Nursing since those are the top majors. The degree requirements for a AA in liberal Arts has changed three times since 2011 without notice. Class registration is painless for the most part and there are many sections for added flexibility.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Transferring credits was no problem at all. As for the academics, a lot of the course are real jokes. One classes we created our own syllabus. In this same class one week before the final we still have yet to get any real work or learn anything pertaining to the topic.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Took one online course. The business law class. The class wasn't bad just rather it not be online so I can actually learn

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of this school's education should be free not near $3,000. Some of the classes are literally jokes.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: To be honest I would not suggest Medgar Evers College to anyone. I thought going there was convenient. I came from a private setting college where i obtain my 1st degree. My experience at Medgar is a learning yet frustrating. They have no organization, you become your own administrators. The school has no proper direction and keep student in a cycle of failing them so they can get paid. you can attend class there be a A student and fail the class. Also the facility make it hard for you to graduate from the school and keep making you take class unnecessarily. the Nursing program standands are unobtainable the school needs to be evaluated seriously. there is more but i will let other students tell you more.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: it bad you are force to take class when it scheduled if you really need to

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I wouldn't choose my school again because this was never my dream school. I am more of a live in a dorm type of girl.

Campus Resources: The availability of these things are on average. Used by some not by all.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: On the computers and printers, the network is great, the wireless connection lags, and hardly connects.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have yet to experience the career services.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have no entered to deeply into the core of my major. But I have experienced lab as a college student.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: It's very diverse, and made to fit any schedule you need. The classes can give you a wanted challenge or you have an easy workload, all while still learning at a good pace.
