Online Courses: I know about the onlime courses but I havent taken any

Online Courses: Online courses were not for me. I took one hybrid class. I did however, take an online course. The online course was a lot of work. Assignments were being posted faster than what we were able to finish. I know now, for a fact, that online courses are not for me.

Career Services: I have not had the opportunity to use any of the post-grad services the school offers. Please forgive me for not being able to write more about the subject.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school helps you out every step of the way when it comes to financial aid. They help with applying for federal and state tuition, loans and even give emergency tuition assistance for those students who need help. They actually care about the student and how to help them get the education they seek.

If students need help with finacial aid, they can go to room C109 and staff will make sure they fill out their forms the correct way so that they will not miss out on the money they are entitled to .

Student Body: The student body at LAGCC was very diverse, with students from all different ethnic backgrounds, economic status, religion and sexual orientation. I made a lot of friends from my major. Students whom have had a positive impact in my life and I had on them.

Campus Resources: There are many resources on campus that have made student life easy. Starting with the library and computer labs. The library was equipped with every textbook I used for my classes/courses. The computer labs through out the campus, with the ability to print my papers, was very valuable to me. I was able to get my work done and print it out.

Another resource on campus that is a HUGE plus is the athletic center. The swimming pool, the basketball and handball courts, the weight room are all facilities that I actually used on a weekly basis. All the facilities were maintained clean and safe. I really have nothing but praises for them.

Overall, the general campus is well maintained. Groomed, clean and fresh.

Academic Experience: My major is Public Communications. I changed my major several times while at LaGuardia because I was not sure of what I wanted to do but with guidance from several faculty, specifically Dr. Lisa Barry and Dr. Louis Lucca, I was able to finish my program and graduate with honors. The program has prepared me for the next stage in my life, a four year university to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations.

Academic Experience: LaGuardia Community College offers associates degrees and certificates in over 50 majors in Liberal Arts, Math, Science, Business and Technology and Health.

Academic Flexibility: Attending LaGuardia Community College has been an amazing experience. I have grown so much in the past 4 semesters. The faculty was helpful and guided me through out the whole time I was attending the school. They were very flexible with my classes and curriculum. All my transactions, such as scheduling classes, submitting work on blackboard, receiving financial aid etc, were smooth and easy.

Academic Flexibility: The curriculum is exceptionally demanding, which is fine however the average remains the professors proficiency is sub par. Course work is vigorous yet too much to truly learn the essentials and fundamentals of future work. There is poor communication from administration to Professors or some aspect lost -- what the students NEED for success. For ex. One man tutoring and overseeing a math lab w/ capacity of 100. Complaint to Department chair states "Mam you are at an urban community college, deal with it!" Same goes for the Natural Sciences Department; tutoring seminars based solely on "the best professors" e.g. Chemistry. Other students abandoned dans encouraged to fail. Therefore students need retake, earning the school more money and levant the student behind.

Academic Experience: I'm majoring in Fine Arts, specifically in Design. I get the best of both worlds, taking art history, drawing, and computer art courses. It's an amazing experience, because I get to learn about different mediums of creative expression. The classes and work that is given isn't stressful or over the top (in amount), but it's interesting because as you do the homework or assignments you're learning completely different things.

Academic Experience: Professors are always there if you need them, and they provide you with the hours when they are available. They're always willing to help! There are also tutoring sessions that you could attend to, for FREE. Class registration process is always smooth for me, advisement is always helpful so you're sure that you're right on track towards graduation.

College Senior

Online Courses: I've never taken online courses.

Campus Resources: Everything is available for you! The library is an amazing spot, and there's computer labs in every building, making it very convenient!

Overall Experience: This school is unique in that it has students from many different countries and different races, classes, religions, it is truely diverse. This aspect is perhaps one of the best things about it. That being said the school faculty is also diverse. I have had one professor who on the first day of class asked everyone their names and what they were majoring in, she gave out her cell number and I text her all the time, she has helped me and become my unoffical advisor. On the other hand I have also had a professor who didn't know most of the class's names by the end of the semester, hadn't assigned any homework, talked so quietly no one could hear him and would end the class early by 30 minutes. The people in the business offices aren't always helpful either. The best way to succeed here is to attend every class get the work done because it really isn't difficult and take the honors courses, where the students and professors care.

Online Courses: The online courses are not available to every student, you must be in good academic standing and have taken one full semester at the school to be eligible. That being said they depend on the subject you are taking them in. They have just started making online classes available in the sciences, however I am not sure how much outside help you get, probably a reason why they require you to already have a decent GPA. I have never taken any, but I have heard mixed reviews from many other students. The pro is if you are busy with work and can't always attend school you have the ability to take an online course in almost every subject.

Career Services: The career services at this school aren't phenomenal. Most people already work full time and attend school part time. The school does have work study jobs but they are limited and fill up quickly, the ratio of available campus jobs to enrolled students is not great. The only positive thing they have is the NYC Taxi Drivers program.

Overall Experience: Last week I was running for student government with my slate and all of us got in. It was a really nice experience but some students wasn't aware of that events if lgcc has more talking, more advertising in event and other things happening inside college will be more nice and people can make friends and interact.

I have volunteer in some job fairs and club fairs so again lagcc need to aware more the students about these events.

Student Body: Because I'm an open person I am not a person who cares about race or culture.I try my best to understand the people and to be friendly with everybody in my classes.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: when the classes are closed and they is only that class with the best schedule that works with mine after I need to readjusted or take another class that it wasn't plan.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Recently because my parent's income my financial aid was deny.I'm so disappointing right now about they should tell me before or send me a e-mail. I will do wherever it takes to get the money for next semester. One of the things that i'm so disappointed about is how they talk to me. the tone was really hopeless and they surely talk more nice to me.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I have being in the Career center ones and they told me to bring my resume, they were really nice but I was will a lot happening in my life and didn't have the time to come back hopefully one day I will go again.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: This is really a diverse community college. I have love my staying here and I will keep enjoying meeting new people and nice and really good professors.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: It have being a great experience. I have leqarn a lot and the people and professor are really warn and helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: the registration process was really stressful because I was going around college because the advisement appointment after the advisers hopefully after you get know where and how to go but when you started it not really smooth as it should be.
