Local Atmosphere: John Jay is in the city of New York so the nightlife is great and the shopping is great but it has no campus and if you don't live in the city the traveling can add 2 hrs to your day depending on where you live

Local Atmosphere: Depending on if you like the Manhattan City atmosphere will determine whether you like the Local atmosphere or not.

Campus Strictness: There isn't much to do at the school besides hang out or go to class so I wouldn't think that there is a big problem with any policies here.

Parking: It's definitely not convenient to find parking especially in the city, so I would suggest using public transportation.

Off-Campus Housing: The actual school doesn't have housing, therefore you have to reach out to programs that work with John Jay for students.

Facilities: I feel amazing about being in this college even tho its my first year here. You feel right at home, the atmosphere is great. You have a sense of Independence yet when you need help with something someone will be there to assist you. There is a gym area for you to work out, clubs to join for free and you can participate when ever you want. There are no contracts its all on your time. For campus events, the college sends you an email stating what events are happening in the school, when you want to attend a trip its also a first time first served. Campus activities? Are great! They have clubs, different types of things to do. Activities of all kind so you never get bored. Student hangouts, have couches and places were you can lay down and relax not stress out, you can even take a nap.

Facilities: What makes John Jay unique? Honestly, its how you are accepted easily in my opinion. People treat each other with respect, you do your own thing and the fact that youre in the city where it never sleeps is also a bonus. Being in Manhattan, you always have places to go see, places to go sight seeing, where you can act and be a tourist. The academic programs are great because you have a varieties of classes to choose from and majors to choose from that you can change from time to time. The clubs are amazing, you have different options and different choices just if in case you are picky!

Computers: My college when you want to use a computer usually during finals, its a first come first serve. Also the wireless network is great it isnt bad, the internet connection speed is great. The printing system is good also and computers to use at the library are great.

Health & Safety: The security on campus are very helpful and friendly. When you are lost they are willing to help you and guide you to the place where you need to go. They have a very tight system which means i honestly feel safe if something were to happen to me because they are all over the place.

Local Atmosphere: Well, i always loved/love living in New York City. Its a very diverse area which makes it beautiful and interesting to come to my college every day because you get to see different types of things, people, its always an adventure in a way. There are a lot of restaurants to go eat at, malls to go shopping at, tourist attractions and also stores and pharmacies if you ever need anything. My college is located in Manhattan, the borough that never sleeps. There is always something to do, at anytime of the night. To me? Its a safe place, a safe environment. The students are friendly and helpful when you need directions or need help with something someone is always willing to help.

College Freshman

Parking: i do not own a car, i prefer public transportation. Its easier for me.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Well for me? i had to take a test to get accepted into John Jay because my SAT scores werent really that good. But when i passed the test, which wasnt that difficult all you had to do was learn well for me some basic algebraic equations it was good over all. what happened next? the admission process, you have to fill out financial aid forms and make sure you apply for scholarships and grants because college is expensive. Make sure you choose a major that you would love to learn and study why? because youre going to have to sit there and learn for about an hour and a half and it has to be something you like.

College Freshman

Drug Safety: In my college there is a no drug policy. Which means drugs arent allowed on campus ground, if it does happen there are consequences for the person doing it.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: At John Jay for me in my opinion its honestly beautiful to see the teamwork and how teams interact with one another. The fact that many people are proud to be in their certain team is awesome and inspirational.

Weather: Honestly? It depends, when it gets really cold outside, sometimes you dont feel like going out at all. It is New York city after all. But during the summer its amazing because you get to see and experience a difference sense of style.

College Freshman

Greek Life: i dont believe my college has a Greek life/ fraternity.

Nightlife: i honestly feel very comfortable and it feels like a home away from home.

Nightlife: A lot of bars to choose from.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: A lot to choose from.

3 Recent Alumnus

Drug Safety: Never encountered students drinking or using drugs openly on campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of places to dine off campus. Somewhat pricey but overall there are a variety of options.
