Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • The Career Development Services center on the eighth floor of the East Building is your best friend when it comes to finding an internship. Students can browse through a database of job openings targeted specifically at college students, or go through internship options with a counselor. Throughout the semester, the center also holds job fairs and workshops to keep you on the right track.
  • When searching for an internship, looking within departments is a good idea. Professors often post internship openings on list servers, so be sure to sign up for those. The best time to apply for an internship is during the semester because everyone comes to the city for an internship in the summer.
  • You can also check Hunter's work-study website for paid jobs within all of Hunter's departments, if you qualify for work-study.
