Off-Campus Dining: There are many options for off campus dining available at Brooklyn College. There are many pros and cons to this dining in which on the positive in which there is a large variety of fast food to choose from, being very convenient between classes and study breaks. However, on the negative side majority of this food is very unhealthy. There needs to be a wider availibility of more nutritious foods such as salad bars or fast food branches that promote healthy foods.

Diversity: Brooklyn College has to be the most diverse university in all of New York, not only having different ethnic backgrounds from Indians, Russians, Chinese, African-Americans but many religious backgrounds as well. I admire this institution that accepts all these different backgrounds and advises students to do the same. Allowing the development of many student organizations based on diversity, in which many other cultures and background can attend these organization programs and learn about them as well.

Off-Campus Housing: Being that Brooklyn College is a CUNY university, majority of the students live off campus and commute to school having no on campus housing. They do help students look for housing in near by apartment complexes in which living in NY city itself is very expensive.

Greek Life: Greek life at Brooklyn College is average, in which you only view Greeks during their community service events or if they are having a program that week. They are not constantly around campus or obnoxiously in your face pressuring you to join their organization. The non greeks are cordial with the greeks in which the greeks do not feel their superior to others so they do not treat others differently. This is something that I admire about the greeks on this campus. Not only do they have many community service events helping those in need, they treat other students equally.

Diversity: Brooklyn college has a very diverse community. Everyone is very well accepted and well treated. I don't find it challenging to be a international student from Serbia here.

Athletics: I am not involved in the athletics at Brooklyn College, so I cannot comment on the subject effectively.

Campus Dining: Campus Dining isn't healthy, overall. It's mostly fast food, meaty white bread sandwiches, heavy and greasy meals... The only remotely healthy foods offered are sushi and soups.

There's no organic food, which is very disappointing.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not know anything about campus housing since I don't live on or even close to the campus.

Overall Experience: I have an overall positive experience at Brooklyn College. I really like how everybody on campus is helpful and friendly. BC is unique because of its beautiful campus, diversity and friendly staff.

My favorite place on campus in Spring is The Lily Pond.

If I got to do it all over I'd still go to Brooklyn College because I've always had a good feeling about this school. It's also affordable, it provides good education and has various helpful recourses for studying and student life.

Facilities: Brooklyn College has one of the most beautiful campuses in NYC! It's got beautiful gardens, big and well maintained lawn where students get to relax, hang out or study. BC has the biggest and best library of all CUNY colleges and a very friendly staff. The student center is open for all and there's always something going on! The athletic center is huge and my favorite is the olympic pool within the West Squad building.

Facilities: Brooklyn College is definitely unique by its incredibly diverse student body. Students come from all over the world to study here. There are all kinds of personalities, races, nationalities, with various religions and beliefs.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Lots of students, but it is an a very unsafe area.

4 College Junior

Majors: I had an internship an an unaffiliated location, which was great. I got paid decently. I have no concerns.

5 College Junior

Majors: I am in an honors program, and the support system is amazing. The college experience wouldn't be the same without it.

College Junior

Parking: I don't drive, so I wouldn't know.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Being in an honors program makes it worth it. It's not that expensive, and classes are ok.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I'm not a Greek, but I don't see anything that stands out in any way.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorms are tiny and expensive. The nearby buildings are filled with students, but the area is very unsafe.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There's a surprising amount of diversity here.

3 College Junior

Weather: It doesn't really affect it; there isn't much to do on campus anyway.

2 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: One one side, there's a very well manicured suburban area. On the other side of campus, is the McDonalds where someone got shot a while back. If you stay in the suburban, manicured area, you'll be safe. Otherwise, you always have to be on the lookout.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There's nothing really special or unique about our student body.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: The campus is located in a dangerous area where people are frequently robbed and mugged. A rape occurred recently a few hundred feet away from campus.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are several nice Halal carts, but mainly, surrounding food includes fast food chains, and large establishments like Starbucks. There's one semi-healthy location within the school area, but it had a bad health rating, and people avoid it.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Computers often are alright, sometimes the system can be slow. Overall it is okay.
