Facilities: The campus is relaxing and stress free, and everything is from close walk proximity.

Overall Experience: best experience I've ever had, this school really helped me prepare for the future.

College Senior

Online Courses: I never had an online course in Cumberland county

Student Body: There is a large diversity population in this community college.

Online Courses: The online portion of our program is good. The workload is more then expected. We were told that the days we were online and not in class, we were to spend the same amount of time doing the work. However, the 6 hours in class is different then the 4 days worth of work we were given online. The past two weeks have been better.

Facilities: They have a PN program for nursing and the way they have it set up is nice. Once you finish their PN program depending on your GPA you have the opportunity to continue in their RN program and do not need to apply. They also have it that if for some reason you are unable to continue your program at that time you are able to submit a reason as to why next time it will be different and you can start back up where you left off.

Academic Experience: When we have a major exam (ie math) they let us retake the exam. It doesn't count towards our grade but we have to score a certain grade on it to continue in the program. They also have it so if you do poorly on any exam you have the opportunity to meet with a professor and discuss what you got wrong and why you may have got it wrong to help with your test taking and study habits.

Academic Experience: I think that most of the time the workload for us is good. I only have one complaint. We have online class on some Mondays. They post up an online assignment on Sunday/Monday that is due Saturday at 11:59pm. That is not my problem. They told us in the beginning we should spend as much time on our online assignments as we would have spent in class that day. that is 6 hours. We have been spending 3-4 days working on online assignments. Recently (the past two weeks) she has cut them down substantially. The last big one she gave us was 15 pages and that same week we had a HUGE math exam and a Skills exam that same week.

Career Services: I am unaware of any of these services. I know that some students end up with jobs in their clinical sites but I do not believe it is because of help from the school.

Overall Experience: I chose this school because they offered the PN program. It wasn't anything special to me. The colleges closest to me either didn't offer the PN program or there were too many people trying to get in that it was impossible to do so. Cumberland County college doesn't seem to support that large of an area so the chances of getting in were greater with my GPA

Academic Flexibility: When we first signed up for our classes it was first come first serve. If you wanted a specific clinical site and were unable to get it, we were given the opportunity to contact other students to see if they would switch with us if their site worked better with our commute or hours. My credits from Gloucester County College transferred but from the looks of it they only transferred what was needed for the program and the RN program if I decided to go that route with them. They have it set up that once you are finished with the PN program, depending on your GPA you have the opportunity to continue with them into their RN program and they save you spots so you do not have to apply.

Student Body: The students in our program are from all over not just Cumberland county. They are all very friendly and are always coming together to help each other out and study or just get together to relax after a long hard week. They are all eager to help one another to make sure we all get through this together. we have already agreed to do something big when we all graduate next year.

Campus Resources: The computer labs are up to date and have a decent computer system. The web access they use is Blackboard 9. which isn't too bad most days it is good. My only argument with blackboard is that when I am trying to access my grades it takes a while to update. it doesn't matter what computer I use, it seems to be a problem. We do have wireless access on campus, but there is a building off campus that we use and that building does not have wireless for us to use.

Campus Resources: The campus has plenty of parking and the buildings are not too big to get lost in. The campus is laid out a little odd for me, it will take some time to get use to. The board to show where you are going or where you are is a little confusing but at least the buildings are well marked. They keep the campus and buildings in good shape. They are currently doing construction on the grounds but it is unnoticeable when sitting in class. It is not loud or distracting. There is a small gym located above the locker rooms in the gymnasium. The bookstore is well organized but the staff is not fully up to date on their inventory.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education I am getting is worth the money. We have 6 professors and sometimes it seems as though they do not communicate with each other. They are good at what they do however. Some of the professors answer their emails in a timely fashion and are a big help with any questions we may have. As far as financial aid, we got accepted into the nursing program and FASFA was due a week before hand so I did not request FASFA because I was unaware I was accepted into the program until a week after the dead line. The education is worth the money I have already started spending.

Student Body: I would say they are pretty average here. Very diverse atmosphere but sometimes feels like we're stuck in the stone ages.

Campus Resources: Most of the computers work but there are far too many times where the printers are offline or a minor computer problem will take all day to be repaired/corrected.

Campus Resources: For now they are closed until further notice but was able to see the gym and a little bit if the fitness room and it's pretty nice.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: Well one of the few things that college gives me is independence. I was never able to have that when I was in high school. The teachers allow us to do whatever we want just as long as were not disrespectful towards them. I'm also allow to wear whatever I want which is good since I have been wearing uniforms for the last 7 years.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe that the tuition for this school is very reasonable to me. However, I wish it would be a little easier to get scholarships and afford classes.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They tell me that it's good to go here first because it gives you a start on what college will be like before someone, like me, plans on going away to college. I also get the option of not having to go for the full two years as well as being able to transfer my credits when I'm done.

College Senior

Academic Experience: Well I'm majoring in Business Administration in Liberal Arts. I haven't taken any classes yet but I'm going to apply for some soon. I did however take some business classes in high school and they were occasionally challenging but I was able to get through.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Well at first I didn't want to go to this college but after doing some stuff at the college over the summer it's starting to grow on me.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: I have enjoyed my sessions with Cumberland County College. Going back to school has been an enjoyable experience for me.

5 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: I am currently a Phi Theppa Kappa member and am aware of the
services that the college gives students and find that the teachers and
staff are very willing to help out the students get the education advice and
support they need to get through their courses.
