5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Cuesta college has an excellent art program with brand new facilities and a variety of art aa options. The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly and strive for student success. There definetly could be better oprions for class times like late afternoon or evening classes for all the art classes especially for students with day jobs. At cuesta you can major in art history, fine arts or graphic design, they offer classes in drawing, painting, sculpture , pottery and photography for non art majors as elective credits. The fundamental skills required for success in art as a major are well developed concepts that the teachers both understand and communicate in a varity of ways to the students and the program is fantastic.

Academic Experience: The academics at cuesta are great, general education requirements for cu and usc are the only classses offered with many times slots and teachers to choose from, its easy to finish up your general ed quickly and you have the option of taking more classes than full time, full time being 12 units a motivated student without a job who wants to go to cuesta just to get general ed units out of the way prior to transfering can do so fast and eady and there are summer terms offered with the option on 4 week 6 week or 8 week summer classes
