Campus Strictness: The campus safety here is really just looking out for our best interests and when we came here as freshman we signed a contract that we would not drink or do drugs while we are in school. Once summer comes around you are off contract and can do what you want but until summer and Christmas roll around you are not supposed to do those things. Granted people do anyways, but if you get caught that is your own fault. The campus security guys are really doing what they are supposed to do and I can't hold that against even if they give me a parking ticket even though I didn't know I wasn't supposed to park in a certain area.

Off-Campus Dining: Being so close to Downtown Grand Rapids, we have so many different options around here from fast food to nice dining restaurants. Also a lot of the places that are around our school are willing to give student discounts which is so unbelievably nice of them! It makes it so convenient because you can get a good size meal for like $5.

Transportation: There is an airport not too far from our campus that student's can use who live out of state. Or there is the bus that has a stop literally right down the street from our campus. Most people rely on their cars though or people who have cars to take them places that aren't on our campus due to the fact that our campus is not very big to begin with.

Off-Campus Housing: I have not lived off campus throughout my time here at Cornerstone, but from some of the stories I have heard the process of applying to live off campus through Cornerstone is horrendous, but once you get through that students have been able to find great deals on apartments and houses.

Campus Housing: Like any school your dorms have been around for quite some time, with the special times when new buildings are put up or buildings are renovated. As far as I know only one building has been renovated and one new building has gone up since I have been here. It really shows in some of the buildings, including the one I live in where the doors are falling off their hinges, the carpets are stained, and the counter tops and cabinets look like they are from the 70's, and the bathroom ceiling falls into the room below it. Granted they are planning on renovating this building during the summer, but I believe they waited too long. As far as the social atmosphere everyone is always open to each other wanting to create new friendships.
