Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is right outside of Grand Rapids, so there is usually always something to do

Local Atmosphere: Grand Rapids is a very up and coming area with plenty to experience. Anything from dining, to recreation, to entertainment exist in the area in numerous supply.

Local Atmosphere: The campus itself is kind of small, but the community around mass it easy to find something fun to do when you have downtime.

Local Atmosphere: Grand Rapids has a ton of things to do. One of the biggest attractions is ArtPrize which is a huge art contest held in the fall. There are also several museums - art, children's, historical, etc., as well as a vibrant downtown area with really nice shops, coffee houses and restaurants. Grand Rapids also offers a lot of musical performances from the latest pop bands at the Van Andel Arena to the Grand Rapids Symphony as well as a number of college orchestra and choir concerts.
In addition to the cultural events, there are several malls and tons of places to shop. Grand Rapids is also located within an hours drive from the Lake Michigan beaches at Holland and Grand Haven and is surrounded by a number of state parks and other recreational areas.
