3 College Sophomore

Athletics: People don't get very into the varsity sports, except baseball because that is new to our school.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: There is always a list of campus scholarships available. Financial aid is great. And financial services points you in the right direction in finding other scholarship options.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The network is not as reliable as it could be. This can get frustrating at times. Also, tech support is not always helpful, and they are not quick in repairs.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: We have clean fun. I love this. People have movie nights, midnight snack runs, etc.

Campus Strictness: I think it is great that there are rules and students are held to honoring said rules. This makes for a fun environment with little danger or harm.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity is not very broad. Most students and faculty are of the same economic and societal statuses. While people are from different places--around the U.S. and the world--there is not much diversity otherwise.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Grand Rapids is very diverse in its cuisine. There are several options along the main roads and especially downtown.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The winters are rough. We get a lot of snow. It is also very windy year round.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There is "off-campus housing" that is owned by the school and is technically on campus. from what I understand, it is not the greatest. However, it is convenient and more cost efficient. However, students are still required to have a meal plan which is costly. There is little parking available. Other off campus options are difficult to find for a good or fair price.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: There could be updates to buildings. Overall, friendly atmosphere and welcoming.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: There is a great balance between in class work and lecture, and out of class assignments, papers and projects. The faculty is fantastic; they are committed and passionate to their students and their classes. There are several opportunities for internships with much aid in finding organizations to be placed.

Local Atmosphere: Grand Rapids is a very up and coming area with plenty to experience. Anything from dining, to recreation, to entertainment exist in the area in numerous supply.

4 College Junior

Diversity: It is a Christian institution so most students confess to having some level of Christian belief. Most all students accept other at face value and choose to love instead of judge one another.

Athletics: Varsity sports present an exciting aspect of campus life here. However, club sports take place all over campus, in my eyes overshadowing varsity sports.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My classes have been the most important aspect of my schooling experience and they have been better than I expected them to be. The emphasis placed on faith throughout my coursework has been a blessing.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Haven't heard a whole lot concerning drugs outside of alcohol and the occasional marijuana use. However, I won't say that other drugs aren't being used because I don't know everyone.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The facilities are typically in great shape. They are efficiently maintained and cleanly. The library and other locations provide great places to do research and to study, while the gymnasium and outdoor areas are excellent spots to work off midterm stress.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The social scene has been great, personally. Most individuals I have met have been very open and friendly to me. I haven't experienced any feelings of loneliness or exile.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Dining on campus can be surprise at times. Some nights the dining commons will have tasty food and a great selection, and other nights you will choose to skip eating altogether.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Grand Rapids provides an outstanding number of places to eat. Anything from low end fast food to high end sushi or Italian cuisine are a short drive from campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: All facilities on campus are up-to-date and maintained exceptionally well.

College Junior

Transportation: I have never used forms of transportation outside that of my car while at school.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: While I understand the objective behind visiting hours of "protecting" students, I have reached a point a annoyance regarding curfew and visitation rules seeing as I am legally an adult.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The atmosphere around campus is generally comfortable. However, walking around in any location at night on your own brings a sense of worry.

3 College Junior

Weather: Michigan is quite cold this winter, which makes walking to class not exactly fun.
