4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. I am able to leave my laptop sitting out in a study room, grab coffee/food/go to the bathroom, and it will still be there. I never lock my dorm room. Campus safety is also present and there to help with anything. Although Corban is near a prison, it has never created a problem or made me feel unsafe.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safety is taken seriously by Campus Safety. However Corban is a big campus and there are many places that are unlit and where one could feel unsafe. Perhaps two security officers instead of one at night would be a good idea.

4 College Student

Health & Safety: Its a little freaky having a penitentiary down the road but you can call campus security to walk you from where you are to where you are going if you are uncomfortable walking alone.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Never heard of any campus crimes besides one theft incident in 1.5 years of being in a dorm where people don't even have to lock their room doors. The campus is within 2 miles of several prisons but since there are so many cops around it doesn't seem to be an issue.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Corban University is a small school just south of Salem and is situated near the local police academy so if they are needed, the police can be here very quickly. The only problems I have ever experienced is people stealing things from each other in the dorm, but if you keep your door locked that should not be a problem.
