Career Services at Los Medanos College: my counselor made mistakes in classes she put me in that would not transfer. Now I have to stay an extra semester

to take the right classes for transferring.

Facilities at Diablo Valley College: I believe that this school is best for me as I begin my journey into the real world. Unfortunately I come from a low income family that has a given me the motivation to prosper and move forward to conquer greater goals. Maybe even a better position in life someday, as I have the dream to become a lawyer. Law school will be expensive when I get to that stage in my life so I need all the help I can receive to get through college. My school offers tons of programs for those that are moving in the direction of becoming a lawyer, so that gives me a good sense of what I really want to do with my life, driving me to achieve that goal with so much more energy. I do plan to transfer as for my school does offer programs that will allow me to do so. For the next 2 years DVC will be my campus as I am pushing myself to attend school summer, fall, and spring to reach the finish line.

Overall Experience at Los Medanos College: The overall experience has been worth it and very entertaining.

Overall Experience at Los Medanos College: My overall experience has been okay. I don't love the neighborhood my school is in but my school itself is nice. Some teachers don't care while some teachers are excellent. The classrooms themselves are very diverse. Some are very old and few are very new. The labs are very helpful if you have a good tutor. Although the classes fill up very fast and there is a very small number of students they accept and many of those students drop out of the class, which severely limits your chances of getting the classes you need.

Academic Flexibility at Los Medanos College: The classes are sometimes very long especially the science classes I take. These classes make scheduling your personal and work life very difficult. I've had some frustrations with the teachers. Some are much more helpful than others. And some teachers you can tell don't care about students anymore and just want to do their shift and leave. The administration has been flexible though and have helped me a lot with transferring. The counselor a are just alright. They are only semi knowledgable about transfer colleges and if information about transferring to college isn't written somewhere than they don't know it. You also need to be careful because they will not inform you about any prerequisites.

Facilities at Los Medanos College: What sets my school apart are the teachers who really care about helping you succeed at your degree or transfer degree. What also sets my school apart is our library and the many labs we have for each subject. In each lab there are computers, tutors and teachers there to help you.

Career Services at Los Medanos College: My campus career center is okay. They only have brochures as a source of information and the staff is not very knowledgeable. They mostly tell you to talk to the representatives of the school you want to transfer to.

Academic Flexibility at Contra Costa College: It really depends on the teacher and student's communication in order to be flexible in school.

Overall Experience at Contra Costa College: My experience in Albany High School had been great. I came to U.S.A on Dec 2009. I was freshman in high school. The teachers were friendly. Although it took me a while to get to know the school systems and interact with friends, the overall experience has been great. I've learned to grow in this school and this was my first step to achieve my career.

Online Courses at Diablo Valley College: Online courses have proven their worth in both convenience and ability to work at a steady pace. The environment of my online classes was surprising interactive. In both my English and Business Law class that I took online, students interacted with their peers on a regular basis. Taking an online course is terrific if you have kids or a demanding schedule in the real world. The only downfalls of an online class are the lack of tactile feeling, of actually stimulating visual and auditory stimilu (sensations that a student would normally receive in a physical classroom) and working around technical issues.
