College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have never had any experience with off campus housing.

Off-Campus Housing: There are apartments right across the street from the university and they are affordable for college students. They are also right near a bus station that can take you to the train station and downtown area for shopping and entertainment.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I am a commuter so I would not know the off-campus housing situation.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many apartment complexes and houses for rent within a short distance of the school for reasonable rent. Most of the apartments charge only utilities in addition to rent. There is plenty of parking available and the neighborhoods of River Forest, Oak Park, and Elmwood Park are very safe. Most of the housing I looked at last year was a 5 minute drive/15 minute walk from campus, which is very convenient. Concordia also has a housing board in its community center where various rental and housing listings are posted.

Off-Campus Housing: Although the parking and convenience are great, the price to live off campus across the street is higher than what one would pay to live on-campus. The best way to save your money is to commute from home. To get into one of the apartments across the street, a person has to enter into a contest where upper classmen have the higher chances of winning.
