4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I'm not in the Nursing Program yet, but everyone I talk to loves the Nursing Program.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Columbia State offers all the courses that I need to complete my degree.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Once or twice a month a MTSU representative will come and talk to you if you want to transfer to a university after completing Columbia State Community College.

Campus Resources: The athletic center is great! The gym is very nice and so is the track and tennis courts. the library is neat and organized. The college has a lot of random campus activities for all stuednts.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Printing on campus is great! The fee is already added in your tution so when you go to the computer lab you do not have to pay .10 cents to print each page. You just print as much as you need. Network reliability so far has been good other than in one room of one of the buildings, it won't pick up wifi. The computer labs are always nice and clean and there is usually someone working or monitoring them incase you need assistance.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am a general transfer major. I tend to pursue a bachelor's degree in Biology when I transfer in the fall. My adviosr in the department is beyond helpful. I haven't had the oppurtunity for internships at this school.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The class registration process is very simple and easy to use. Your advisor helps you out as much as he/she can.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: We do have an art gallery that changes every few months. We have dozens of computer labs, so you never have to be without a computer.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall, my school has been worth it. It is close to home and an easy transition to college right after high school. The staff are friendly and so are most of the student.

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online classes seem to be easier than in class work. I do not believe I learn as much online as I do in a real classroom. The professor/student relationship is terrible online. The workload tends to be more organized than in a real classroom. I rarely talked to any of the other students in my online classes.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe the value of my education here is worth what I paid. With the lottery scholarship and the pell grant I recieved money back to help pay for my books as well as gas to and from the college. I did not have any trouble with the finanical aid office while I have been here.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I transfered here during my second year of college. Scheduling classes proved to be a bit trouble some. i like to have my classes in the morning but the courses that I had to take were only offered at night from 6-9 p.m.. Transfering classes ended up being easy because I resereched before hand what my class would transfer over to at another collge.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: The students at my school are very friendly. There are only a few outgoing students, while the rest just sit back and listen. The students do not have a lot of school spirit here.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: It is an excellent school to earn your Associate's degree.

5 College Senior

Facilities: I like how on certain days or weeks they celebrate different things. They also celebrate holidays and have can food drives and different things like that. I also like how they have recycling bins throughout the school making it easy for students to recycle meaning more students do recycle.

4 College Senior

Career Services: I am not sure because I am currently a student who will be transferring to MTSU for the 2+2 program with Columbia State in order to finish my degree.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: It is totally different from the in class experience. You can still get in contact with your teacher and peers but they are not right there with you.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: It is a great experience. In the spring they have a spring cookout where students can grab a bite to eat before or after class and get a drink. they even set up games for students to play. At Halloween they have pumpkin carving contests and scary movies with popcorn at night. Recently there was a chili cooking contest.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The program is great, and the teachers try to help prepare my peers and I for the big picture. Sometimes there is much homework to get done, but take it one day at a time and it get done on time.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: It is very easy to register for classes. All you do is look up a class that you need and a list pops up where you can choose the time and the location for when you want it.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The classes are offered at different times; therefore, you can choose your classes around your schedule.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: I do not go to the athletic center or the student center, but the library and campus activities are great.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computers are somewhat slow and sometimes the internet does not work, but other than that is great. There is always an available computer.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is not outrageous, and the financial aid is available for everyone.

4 College Senior

Student Body: I can always make a friend or a study buddy at school. Most of the students help others.
