5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I would recommend the school to other people

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Some of the online courses that I had were very rude.

Facilities: I really enjoy the flexibility that I have and the professors are great, when they teach the classes that I have had with them, they use their life experiences.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far my experience has been great. I've enjoyed all my classes, my professors have been very good and experienced, and I've really appreciated the flexibility in scheduling classes each quarter. I would make the same choice of school if I had to do it all over again.

Career Services: I'm just now beginning to use our career services resources and am realizing that there is a lot of assistance and support at CTU. It's easy to make an appointment with one of the advisors in order to get assistance and advice with any number of career related questions or issues.

Student Body: Being an older student, I greatly appreciate the diversity of students at CTU. There is great diversity in age, race, and ethnicity. Typically, students at CTU are not new high school graduates, but tend to be a little bit older, have jobs and families. CTU may not be the best option for a new high school graduate who are interested in the full, big university experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition costs at CTU are a little bit higher than at some other universities. However, I do think the quality of our education is good. Financial aid is always a painful process. What is helpful at CTU is that our student portal computer system does assist with many aspects of the financial aid process, but sometimes, if there are further questions, it can be difficult to deal with the off campus financial aid department.

Online Courses: In general, I still prefer the traditional classroom experience to taking online courses. Though I've had very good online professors in the few courses I've taken online, I do think there is a lack of professor/student and peer-to-peer interaction with all online courses. Additionally, our online courses are taught in five week blocks, which is really fast paced, especially for certain courses. The online courses serve their purpose at times, but on ground courses are definitely an overall better experience.

Academic Experience: I'm a criminal justice major. So far my academic experience has been very good. The professors are experienced in their respective fields and are good about bringing their real world experiences into the classroom. Workload is fair and our assignments frequently cover very current issues and events.

Academic Experience: As mentioned, our professors are very good. They bring real world experiences into the classroom. Our workload is fair and typically covers very current issues or events. My academic advisor is always very helpful and responds to all my questions in a timely manner.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: One of the best aspects of CTU is its flexibility in scheduling. Because the university primarily caters to older students who work and may have families, there are various scheduling options, both on ground and online. For me it was also easy to transfer credits.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus isn't large. However, the computer labs and libraries are well maintained and very functional.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Computer labs are well maintained. We also have online student portals that are accessible anywhere and are user friendly

Facilities: CTU is a smaller, private university, so the social scene isn't what it would be like at a larger, state university. However, the facilities are good and they do cater to older students who have to balance work, family, and school. There are numerous options for scheduling classes, whether on ground or online. Professors are all very approachable and helpful as well.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I do get good informational e-mails regarding career services available - haven't participated in many yet though. However, many of my classmates who are clos to graduation don't seem to have many options lined up. I'm unsure if this is because of their lack of motivation or lack of guidance.

Online Courses: Although I occasionally take online courses, I still much prefer on ground courses. Even though online courses can be convenient in terms of scheduling, I find that the professor/student relationship is very limited and there, essentially, is no peer-to-peer interaction other than our discussion boards, which is quite limited.

Student Body: Our student body is very diverse in terms of age, race, ethnicity, nd background. Many of the students are a bit older, returning to school, have been in the military, and have families. Though we socialize in class and around campus, most focus on getting their degrees.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I like the school and everyone who works at school.
