3 College Sophomore

Transportation: the transportation from campus to around town is one of the main problems of CSU-Pueblo. the campus isolated from the rest of town so you really need a car if you want to go around. the shuttle the school provides is not the best and not a lot of students use it.

The transportation in Pueblo is not the area's strong suit. Pueblo is a small town, so you don’t have the availability that you would have with a large city. For students, there is a bus that stops on campus to take them around town, and with that bus, CSU-P students receive a good discount. There are also cabs available for a regular fee, but the cabs do need to be called if you need a ride. In addition to cabs and buses, it is acceptable to ride your bike wherever you need to go (although winters do get cold). Also, don’t forget your skateboard because kids do ride them to classes.

For those who have cars, it is recommended that you bring them with you to school. The campus is about a mile away from town, and since finding other transportation options isn’t convenient, having a car on campus would eliminate a lot of hassle. Having a car on campus costs students about $75 per year, which is way better than most other universities across the country.
