5 College Freshman

Diversity: I go to an online school.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I truly have no idea. I have not been to the gym or any games. I do not live close to campus and lack the time / interest to attend.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I honestly do not know. I do not revel and being online, do not see my classmates face to face. I do not believe that we have an issue as this is a Christian school.

Computers: I do not know how it is at Lakewood but the Tech Center lab was always locked up when I went to evening classes there. The only times I used it was when I took a computer class and to sign up for classes with my Student Adviser, because I could not access the WIFI there with my lap top. I do not know if it is different now or not.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It can snarl traffic when trying to get to class from work, but I still prefer in class classes to online classes. The weather does not affect me at this time.

Greek Life: This is a Christian college and I do not think they have a "Greek" anything, except maybe a salad in the cafeteria. I am judging this as a person without any distinct knowledge of how the college runs all of their affairs, but the Greeks were pretty "free" in my history books, and the Christians were a bit more dedicated to modesty, humility, and respect for all of God's standards for His children and followers of Christ, His Son. Again, if we use Greek words for titles within the realm of education traditions this does not encourage or condone the actions of "Greek life" that I know about.

Diversity: Since the college is Christian, we all follow the Word of God and our stance has to be the same as His. Love the sinner, but do not condone the sin. We have the same basic beliefs as these come from God's Word and He is the Law Maker and Enforcer. This means that we respect each other and realize that individuals are not all the same, we grow as the Spirit moves in us. We cannot judge, but we have to be educated and educate while we accept each other as individuals. Because we are Christians and God is emphatic about what is and what is not an abomination, I do not think that we have any same sex individuals at the school. If we do, they are welcome, but there would not be acceptance of the sin on the campus. Economically, racially, politically, we know that we are all God's children and we would not consider hindering or hurting each other. We know that we are to uplift and encourage each other in God's Love.

Scholarships: I applied through the financial office at the college for financial aid and did not realize that it would only be enough for 2 classes a semester. Therefore, it is taking me a long time to graduate. I had to take off a semester or two for health issues and hospital stays as well as a recent arson fire that made me homeless for a while and that put me further behind. I had to withdraw from a couple of classes and had to fail a couple of classes bringing my aid short of the classes that I still have to take to graduate. I have not received any additional assistance from the school except for these scholarship attempts. I am trying to get a loan, but do not know if I can qualify. I am frustrated right now, but know that God will open a door or window for me.

Drug Safety: Since this is a Christian College, the students here are not into the more base and worldly desires and pitfalls. There would be zero tolerance for any of these issues and the peer pressure would be to not imbibe in any of these sins.

Academics: It is very difficult to keep up with the work load sometimes and if you get behind it is very hard to catch up. I work all day and try to do class work online and it can be a trial.

However, the Human Resource major is very interesting and I respect the importance of the department. The way that the law is interconnected with the employees, management, and situations that come up are intricate and need distinct knowledge and planning to maintain balance. For a company to survive and grow, the employees and management have to work together through all of the entanglements relationships can manifest. Human Resources is a huge field and it is open to many avenues of study, so job options should be more forthcoming than some other fields.

There is a lot of reading involved and research which is time consuming, the classes melt into each other, so the final is sometimes scrunched into the beginning of the next class. I have not used the facilities for a while as my classes are online. The library is also online and I have found it hard to use at times. I work for a company that I do not plan to leave yet, so have not checked out the internship/job opportunities.

Transportation: I do not think there is any. On the campus everything is close together, but driving there is only convenient option. The bus stops are not very close, so in bad weather it is a trial. It would be nice for handicapped persons especially to offer shuttles around the campus and bus stops.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: There is really only one parking lot that I have found close to the library. The lot over by the gym is usually full. I do not go there very often as classes are online.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I am online, so lots of fast food and some restaurants on Union & Wadsworth in Lakewood w/ Park Meadows area available in Tech Center. It is becoming more expensive all the time and am not aware of discounts. Sign up online for particular restaurants and print off coupons.

Health & Safety: I have not been to the campus in the Tech Center or Lakewood for some time, but even after dark, have felt safer walking around the area than most other places in the Denver area. I have the phone number for Campus Security, if there were a problem. I have not heard of any crimes committed there. My classes have been online for some time, so am not there physically.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety is very important on our campus and treated so.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The transportation is to be expected and is decent overall.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: My school has a vibrant college community and is well organized .

Scholarships: I'm applying for scholarships all the time. That being said, if you qualify for financial aid, don't expect to live off of it solely. You're going to need other things.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Registration is easy, just pick out a class if it's available to you. The staff is very willing to talk to you and find out what you'd like to do next.

Recent Alumnus

Transportation: I have my own car so I don't have to worry about transportation too much. I do know there are lots of Buses and a lightway that run nearby.

Off-Campus Housing: It's really expensive to live in Denver and the suburbs. If you're a student, chances are you're going to need a roommate or three just to afford somewhere to live.

5 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: As followers of Jesus we are called to be loving to our fellow man. That being said, the religious tolerance leans to Christian.

3 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Lots of students, cars, and parking. It's about average.

5 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: There's a variable plethora around the campus of various foods to try. Use your imagination, it's probably within driving distance.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: Only hearing from other students, it's alright. I live off campus myself so I don't have to worry about things of this nature.
