Off-Campus Dining: Between local dining downtown and chain restaurants in North End, there are plenty of options. Downtown is within walking distance on a nice day, including some fast-food joints along the way. There are more inexpensive local dining options as well as some more fancy options. North End has your more familiar restaurants, like Buffalo Wild Wings (which has a GREAT Wooster student discount), Chipotle, Applebee's, and Little Caesar's.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a ton of off campus dining options in Wooster, and most of them will deliver right to your dorm! This includes both chain restaurants (Chipotle, Panera, etc.) as well as local places such as Spoon Market or Broken Rocks, which offer vegan and vegetarian options!

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Wooster in the past few years has undergone a revival downtown, hinged on the emergence of local restaurants, local food, and a communities desire to bring it out from depression. With this being said, many affordable yet trendy little bistros, steakhouses, and cafes drive the downtown economy. Students take full advantage of this. The food is amazing here. On-campus and off.

Off-Campus Dining: There is a wide variety of off-campus dining. There are of course fast-food restaurants which are nearby and convenient for late night snacking and chain restaurants. Downtown Wooster also has a nice variety of local restaurants with very affordable prices; they are within walking distance or if you drive there is always close-by parking. They restaurants range from inexpensive ma and pa type to a more expensive atmosphere. You usually run into another college student while eating out or sometimes your professor which can be a lot of fun.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is a large variety of restaurants as well as some Fro-Yo places. For late night options there are the common fast food places. Recently, a First Amendment restaurant opened. Overall Wooster eateries offer organic and locally grown, raised/grazed food options that are affordable and make for a nice date.* Can't speak on places for vegans, vegetarians, lactose / gluten intolerance students as I have no dietary restrictions.

What Wooster lacks in attractions and entertainment, it makes up for in its restaurant selection. For a small town, there is a large number of places to choose from to eat at off campus. Uptown includes larger commercial chains with familiar favorites like Panera, Chipotle, Little Caesars, Applebee’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings. Students venture downtown for some of Wooster’s charming family-owned restaurants and small unique chains such as Matsos Family Restaurant, Broken Rock’s, and the Olde Jaol Brewing Company. And there are also plenty of fast food restaurants for students who want to grab a quick bite to eat or snack on something late at night.

Although students aren’t happy with the ethnic food options around Wooster—wishing that there were more authentic Mexican, Chinese, Indian, and Mediterranean options—most agree that the steady development in the city of Wooster is a step in the right direction. Several restaurants, including Zen Restaurant and Lounge, Spoon Market, Panera, and Chipotle have all been built in the past few years.
