Parking on campus has been described as nothing short of a nightmare. Freshmen and sophomores are technically not allowed to obtain student parking passes, and the passes themselves cost well more than $300. Once a parking pass is purchased, students are only allowed to park in the lots on Dillard Street and what is known as the "Hall Lot," which has nowhere near enough spaces for the amount of kids who have cars. Street parking is only available for one to two hours at a time. That being said, if you leave your car unattended for as short as a few minutes past the limit, the Williamsburg parking police will ticket your car for as much as you paid for the pass.
Parking availability is hard to come by, and the cops are not lenient toward cars who overstay their welcome in the hour parking spots. It's probably easier to carpool with roommates and trolley into town when necessary rather than suffer the hassle of parking on campus.
