Academic Experience: As a psychology major the work load was not to demanding. I was able to pass all my classes with A's and B's. The teachers were knowledgeable in their field. They had a few internship opportunities.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Going to COD was worth the money, financial aid covered almost all my costs. I would only have to pay $19 each semester. The financial aid was very helpful, they always answered my questions.

Online Courses: I never had an online class and either way I prefer being in a real classroom. I feel I can be able to learn more.

Academic Flexibility: Although there was a variety of morning and evening classes it was hard to register because they would fill up quick. For those who were first time students it can be frustrating. I remember the first semester, it was a hassle. I was only able to get 9 units and that kept me from graduating early.

Overall Experience: My three years at COD were great, many people say you can't graduate from there but you can if you put your all into it. The best part of this experience was my graduation, everything was well organized. What makes my school unique is that many of the alumni became positive figures in the community.

Campus Resources: The student center, library, counseling offices are very helpful and are able to answer the questions of students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition at COD is reasonable although it keeps rising.

Campus Resources: There is a lot of new architecture and plenty of study areas. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Online Courses: Some classes are better than others. Professors are easy to reach and helpful.

3 College Senior

Student Body: A large portion of students are right out of high school and rarely show up to class. Close to 50% of students taking math or science classes drop before the semester is over. There is also a percentage of very intelligent and hardworking students.

Overall Experience: I attend COD because of the price. If I got to do it all over again, I would probably go back just because it is affordable but in terms of really learning, it isn't a very challenging school.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: It is frustrating being led around in circles regarding which classes I need to take and how I can transfer.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I have had a number of excellent professors at COD but the majority of classes seem to be geared towards getting students in and out. Teachers usually drop the lowest scores, provide in-depth study guides and relatively simple assignments. In other words, it isn't challenging. It is just about getting the credits,

3 College Senior

Facilities: There isn't too much that makes it unique or stick out. It's just a regular community college.

College Senior

Career Services: There are no post-grad services because it is a community college. The only degrees offered are Associate's Degrees

Academic Flexibility: Although there are a number of excellent professors at COD, it is not geared toward helping the students achieve their goals. Finding guidance on class schedules, graduation and transferring is close to impossible. The counselors send you around in circles with absolutely no answer. The curriculum in many classes is a joke and professors let students get away with anything so they don't have to fail everyone. More and more classes are being cut so getting into the classes you need and at a decent time is almost inconceivable. It is very frustrating to try to navigate your way around the system and get in and out.
