3 College Junior

Overall Experience: For me, this school is more like purgatory. I am simply receiving as much affordable education as I can before I am capable from a financial standpoint to move on to a four-year institution and receive a bachelor's degree.

3 College Junior

Facilities: There are few unique aspects associated with the College of Southern Maryland. This is only your regular, run-of-the-mill community college.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am finding it difficult to fulfill my major requirements due to the far location of the courses I am to take. Several campuses are utilized at the College of Southern Maryland and the majority of arts classes reside in a campus nearly two hours from my regular campus. This makes it highly difficult to balance work and school, as well as causes me to spend an unimaginable amount of money on gas for transportation.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Only associates degrees are offered by the College of Southern Maryland.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is low, however I do not feel that I am accumulating knowledge worth the money I am spending. It feels more like I am wasting my time than gaining an education for my future.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have little knowledge of alumni work, but I assume many students find success in their low skill-level fields following their graduation from this community college.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I have only taken one online math course and I have realized that much of the work is on the shoulders of the students taking the course with little help from instructors.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Much diversity exists within the College of Southern Maryland and students are only partially concerned with their career-paths.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: A cafe is available for students, equipped with a pool table and snack machines. Also, a college store is open partially throughout the day with school supplies and snacks readily available for students. A student success center provides tutors for students in need of academic assistance.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: A library houses an arsenal of computers for student-use and computer labs are scattered throughout the campus for scheduled classroom use. Public wi-fi is available throughout the entire campus.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Registering for classes has given me stress from time to time. Even though you can do everything online, I've had a problems where I still had to always go to the campus and meet with a counselor. I wish they explained and answered more questions online.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: There are all kinds of people at my school.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: The staff at this school, at least from who I've come across, really want you to succeed.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Since I go to a community colleges, the prices definitely look better than university prices. However, it still is difficult not having financial aid or anything.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am not that familiar yet with being in a specific major at my school, because I just recently switched majors.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: So far, my professors have been very kind, and really know the subject. The workload is nothing I can complain about. The people here seem to really want you to succeed.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Class schedules are pretty convenient and easy to follow.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Most students just want to get the classes over with.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Can be difficult to understand how it works because each teacher has a different way to do things.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Registering is rather easy you just have to pay the money on time.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Not many art related pieces like galleries or paintings.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: You really do receive the education you're paying for.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Network is a little tricky to figure out but accessibility is fine.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Nice gym but very small, nice library, poor cafeteria.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: The alumni network is okay at best and the career center helps most of the time.
