5 College Junior

Overall Experience: This college is affordable and overall has great campuses. There are a lot of sports you can get involved in or clubs. I would coose this school again because it really feels like advisement and the permanent staff care about there students and schools success.

Academic Flexibility: It always seems to be a hassle when you need to transfer credits. It was not horrible but CSM did not accept some of my credits, yet others they did like my math. I was thankful they accepted my math credit! The professors are usually very flexible if you need to change an exam date or miss a class. Letting them know a head of time is helpful for the professor and the student.

Campus Resources: I love all the campuses. They are super clean and have up to date gyms, libraries, and student hang out spots.

Overall Experience: They have three campuses and online classes. I had a great selection of times and locations.

Overall Experience: There are many job opportunities on campus and around the ommmunity. The career aspects are endless from CSM. If you want to change your major or explore nother option they are there for you.

Academic Experience: The nursing program at CSM is full workload for sure with many internship or job opportunities. It is made up with classes and clinicals. Monday through thursday a student must be completely focused on studying.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I love the vast amount of subjects and professors available. Student advisement is beyond helpful, even the students working at the desk will sit with you and walk you through regsitering if you need that kind of help.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have not heard too many things about jobs after grduating, but many from the nursing program get jobs short after.

4 College Junior

Student Body: So far everyone I have met is really friendly and willing to help each other out.

Online Courses: Professor/student relationships could be a lot better. Some professors will not check their blackboard online email because they do not want to deal with the mass amount of emails they get. In addition, students wait for extended periods of time to get a response. In my experience it is overall good, but some professors should not teach online.

Academic Experience: Some are too easy and some are taught weird ( well to me ) but I still managed to get all A' and B's.

Online Courses: It's good mostly, it's all about timing.

Student Body: There's plenty of cool people here but most are here to learn and go onto the next class.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school gives enough to get by.

Academic Flexibility: Some teachers were more helpful than others.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's an easy school to get acquainted with but the only gripe I have about is that some classes I needed to take are only offered during certain semesters, fall or spring.

Facilities: Good community college and good start. It helps with low cost of money and easy transfer to other MD universities!

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have been two different major since I have attended The College Of Southern Maryland and it was extremely easy to be that major. There were classes to take that were completely interesting. I learned so much about Criminal Justice and the daily tasks of being a Police Officer which is the reason that I switched my major over to Early Childhood Education.

There is something at CSM for everyone to enjoy studying.

Academic Experience: The registration process for CSM is good. The only thing that I wish I could change was having to meet with an adviser after every semester to schedule with classes. I know that it is done in order to make sure I am on track but it is kind of a pain to have to make an appointment and wait to schedule my classes when I could easily do that online.

But there are many options of study, you can do study abroad or you can stay at the campus and still have fun while earning your degree.

Career Services: I am not sure about the alumni because I am only just a first year student. But I can say that the job opportunities at CSM are endless and there is no hesitation from anyone to help you look for a job after you complete your education.

Facilities: I feel that with CSM being a 2 year college that it feels much more like home that it would feel if I attended a 4 year college. I love CSM and everything that it has to offer. I have no problem with having to go to classes almost 5 days a week because I always feel at home. Weather it be that I can go up to the Cafe and get some dinner (that is really good I might add) or if I have to study where I can go into the library or sit on one of the many couches in the lobby. It is just an amazing campus.

Online Courses: I love all of the online classes that I have taken so far through CSM. The teachers are wonderful and they will respond to an email the next day. I think that taking online classes is an easy way to learn while not having to go to campus weather it be to save gas or to work from home because you might need to go to work soon. I love online classes and I believe that they have the same course load as a class on campus.

The registration process was extremely easy and i had no problem with it.

The peer-to-peer interaction is great. I know on my online classes that the students email each other back and forth asking questions about the work or asking tips on how to study better for the upcoming test.

Student Body: I believe that the student body at CSM is well oriented. There seems to be no separation between groups. Except for the occasional group of girls who seem to think that they are better than everyone else on campus and they can just treat people however they want to. But overall I enjoy going to all of my classes because I know that no matter who else is in the class that there will always be someone nice to talk to.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My experience with the financial aide is great. But I am worried about weather it is going to last me for the next 4 semesters while I attend CSM as I am not sure if the prices of classes are increasing but I am kind of worried about not being able to take as many classes as I should be because of the price.

As for any questions that I might have they are always willing to help me out.

Campus Resources: The College Of Southern Maryland is the absolute best. They have amazing facilities. I am a part of the CSM Softball team and I loved every single amenity that is available to me as an athlete. There is an amazing fitness center with trainers to help you with any question that you might have about an exercise that you are doing. They have an amazing staff of athletic trainers who will help you with any injury that you might get during the season. They have an amazing library where you can go and study or read in peace. CSM also has an amazing testing center where you can go and take any tests that you might need to take for an online class you are enrolled in. CSM is basically the BEST around Southern Maryland.
