Coe College Reviews

I have a lot of mixed feelings about Coe. Their physics department is amazing and nationally renowned if you want to enter materials science, and you will get a lot of opportunities here that you will not get anywhere else for that field. The professors are also outstanding and really go out of their way to help you. With that being said, the food is terrible, especially if you're gluten-free. I have submitted multiple complaints about food not being labelled and nothing has been done about it, and I've gotten so sick it's interfering with my studies. Additionally, the campus is very, very small and a bit depressing at times. The dorms constantly smell like drugs and most people don't even know their RA's name. Degeneracy is rampant and many students care more about partying than actually learning. But again, their financial aid is outstanding and there are a lot of opportunities. Coe is definitely what you make of it, but it still has much room for improvement.
Coming to college was intimidating because I had no idea what to expect. The only thing I was certain of was that I wanted to pursue my education. When I first arrived at Coe College, I was scared since I didn't know anyone and the campus felt large despite the fact that it is considered a small college. However, Coe made the transition from high school to college smooth. They were extremely helpful and understanding with everything, making Coe feel more like home. Everyone at Coe was happy to help me find my classes and even my room. feels like home which makes me feel like I made the correct decision coming to this school. I love the small size of the school and how supportive and kind the faculty are. Finally, I appreciate the dedication shown to all students at Coe College.
So far at Coe College I have enjoyed a fantastic experience both in the classroom, in athletics and in the social scene. I have already made great friendships and look to continue to grow and expand on future relationships. The only thing I would love to see change is the food as it is a bit lack luster. But as a whole it has been a great time so far.
