3 College Junior

Facilities: They get things done just not always as quickly as the student body would like.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The school has its highlights like design and fine arts departments, the Cinematique, and the Reinberger gallery. It has some great offerings that you will come to enjoy

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: You only get to stay on campus your freshman year, then you are pretty much on your own to find housing. Which is fine because you save so much more money having a place with friends than staying on campus. The two CIA buildings are Gund and JMC and they both have pros and cons. Gund in my opinion has better studios, and windows. But JMC is newer and has the major student service offices. University circle where everything is located, has definitely received a much needed facelift in the last year and has become pretty decent food, and shopping wise. But as a student of CIA you will find things you do and don't like about everything (for example I don't like that many of the student services are split between two buildings (like you go to financial aid to see if you owe any money, however you go to JMC business office to find out how much you owe and pay balance)

4 College Freshman

Facilities: As a student that lives on campus, I am more knowledgeable of campus events, as well as the campus itself. Being in the art of University Circle, CIA is surrounded by restaurants, museums, and Case Western Reserve University. Sharing the dining hall with the Case students has allowed many of the CIA students to befriend many of them. It is nice to make friends with students that are not at CIA. Sharing the campus with Case allows me as a CIA student to have a diverse group of friends.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The Cleveland Institute of Art offers the diversity that I was looking for when researching colleges. Students from all over the country gather at CIA for the one common interest that we all share, the love for creating art. Being in the heart of University Circle, CIA is surrounded by museums, local businesses as well as other colleges. There is never a boring moment in this community! There are so many opportunities to explore your personal interests with the environment that we spend four years in.
