4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The Off-Campus Dining is very good and has a large variety of places to go with good student discounts.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus there are a lot of fast food and some local places. The place that people would say has the best food would be the smoking pig which has good BBQ but its not super close. Downtown Clemson has chain restaurants as well as a few local places and bars. There is a road near Clemson that pretty much has every fast food restaurant you could imagine.

Off-Campus Dining: We had a running joke that if there was a new place coming it would be a sandwich place. We had 9 sandwich places to choose from, but other than that you were out of luck. There are 2 Chinese places, 1 semi- Italian place, and about 2 Mexican places. Aside from that there are only sandwich places and bars.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: everything is so close to campus and walking distance and there are plenty of choices for food.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I've seen worse, but pretty standard college town fare.

With all the options off-campus, it's a wonder that students eat in the dining halls at all. Students have a hard time naming a favorite restaurant because there are so many good choices-it may take year just to try each one once. Students say the locally-owned restaurants are their favorite, but there are also larger chain restaurants within close range.

It would be really hard to go hungry at Clemson with all the great off-campus choices. Even if you don't have access to a car, there are a lot of good places within walking distance. The area offers something for every one of the 20,000 people at the University, just bring your appetite.
