Greek Life: There is no Greek life for this campus.

Greek Life: I'm not in a sorority so I can't really say but greek life is a pretty big part of Clemson. The fraternities always have parties going on.

Greek Life: Greek housing is great! They have the best places to stay. The social atmosphere is really fun. They organize different events in which students get together and have fun! Tailgating is the best in Greek life. The non-Greeks are categorized as anti-social or without a life. If a student is not part of Greek life, it's really hard to find friends on campus.

Greek Life: The Greek society is what holds back Clemson as far as diversity is concerned. Clemson invests and allows investment from fraternity and sororities of money and allows a lot of amenities specifically to those in the Greek society. It would be fine if every group (LGBT, Race, Socioeconomic background, etc.) were given the same amenities or given the same chance to be a part of the Greek system, but that is not the case. Most Greeks hail to tradition accepting only white, protestant, American, males and females. Alternate groups are encouraged to make their own fraternity or sorority chapter, but not included in the current ones.

I believe that there needs to be less emphasis on sororities and fraternities and more attention to curriculum and campus activities.

Greek Life: Greek life has events for everyone to attend.

Less than a quarter of the students at Clemson are Greek, but fraternities and sororities still have highly visible social scenes. In addition to becoming involved on campus, going Greek is a great way to meet a lot of people, fast. Although it can be time consuming and expensive, Greek life thrives at Clemson because enough students want it to.

Becoming a member of the Greek community is entirely up to you. There are plenty of fraternities and sororities on campus, all different in their own way. If you are considering becoming a Greek, you should attend the rush functions in the fall to get to know some of the different fraternities and sororities.
