Off-Campus Dining: The non-fast food/chain options are okay, but very niche and nothing is really "cheap." There are practically no healthy/vegetarian/vegan options, though.

2 College Student

Diversity: No very diverse at all. Very prejudice against Northerners and different religions

Greek Life: Greek life is great, but most of the sororities are extremely prejudice against Northerners and there are no houses, which is a huge downfall because that is a vital part to being a tight-knit group

4 College Student

Nightlife: the bars close very early and do not serve alcohol on Sundays

Transportation: To get anything outside of campus (which is a necessity because toiletries are not really available on campus) you need a car.

3 College Student

Campus Strictness: The dorms are so strict and the pet policy. The quiet hours begin far too early and you can get in far too much trouble for violating them . Parking enforcement is evil

3 College Student

Health & Safety: It seems like the cops are the bad guys on campus. There was a situation with a girl who got drugged and she was unresponsive and one of the cops joked to the other "We should use the sticks, that'll wake her up"

4 College Student

Athletics: Clemson is a good football school with lots of pride but Fike (the recreation) center is terrible and cramped, but it does offer very interesting classes

3 College Student

Drug Safety: I do not have enough experience with it to know, but many of the people I do know partake in drugs and it seems very easy for them.

Local Atmosphere: There isn't much to do unless you own a car and can drive 40 minutes. to Greenville

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: There are many bars off-campus that do not allow underage students in after a certain time, which is aggravating, and most places do not accept our school card (Tigerstripe) that acts as a debit card, a HUGE inconvenience.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I received a couple of scholarships from school but I have not looked into applying for any more.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I feel like we have an amazing variety of majors and the majors that are difficult to get into are rightfully so.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm a Communications major and I love it. I don't have a hard workload and all of the work is fairly enjoyable. I don't feel like I am missing out on any other college experiences because of my workload, which I feel is a problem for other majors.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: I have never experienced any racist happenings on campus or heard of any. No one has ever expressed any problems with students of different races.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: I love our printing on campus, it's really cheap and easy to use and I appreciate the fact that we are allowed to use them on campus. The wireless network is pretty reliable. If I ever have problems with the wireless network it's when I'm with a lot of people who are on it at the same time.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is viewed as a bonus because you get a little bit different treatment. Greeks generally hang out with Greeks so sometimes it's hard to a lot of people if you're not involved.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: There are always CatBuses on campus. There are different bus routes and it is easy to remember the schedule. There are two buses that run off campus: one to Seneca and one to Anderson. After a certain time, you can call tiger transit and it will pick you up from your current location (on campus) and take you anywhere you want to go on campus. Also, there are small cars that offer free rides to students, run by other students who work here.

Majors: I do not have any concerns finding a job in my field, but I have always been the person to wonder if I chose the right job for ME. I don't like the weed out classes because they aren't really necessary, but if you really want to do your field, then it has to be done.

Majors: I enjoy the professors in my program. In the first two engineering classes you have to take, they give you bonus opportunities and you can take up to 8 which will give you a total of two points added to your final grade. This helps a lot of people who are borderline A or B. The workload is pretty good. It's never too stressful. There is always help. Undergraduate teaching assistants are always present during the class period and hold proctored hours during the week to help students in need of it.

Computers: There are always plenty of computers available in the library and there is wifi all over campus. We just switched to a new system so they are working on it, but they do that in the early morning when nobody is using the wifi so it doesn't usually affect the students usage. Printers are available in the union and the library and is super cheap.

Drug Safety: They push the drug safety pretty hard on students. They just want everyone to be safe and know what they are doing. Students know they shouldn't drink underage, but if they do, they just want the students to be safe. We have an alcohol edu that all incoming freshmen have to participate in. If a student is caught abusing alcohol/drugs underage, then they have to pay the consequences.

Campus Housing: You get what you pay for. Even if you do not get the best housing option on campus, it's not unlivable. There is just enough room for what you need. If you think there isn't, then you've brought too much stuff, odds are, you won't need everything you've brought.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are always parties on the weekends and it's not hard to hear about them. At least one person out of the group of friends you make at Clemson will know what parties are going on. One frat got Waka Flocka to perform. We also have several concerts (that are at an extremely great price) in our basketball arena. If you are not into the fraternity/sorority parties, we have a club that throws parties for the students so they can interact and meet new people.

Weather: Just like typical South Carolina weather, during the winter it will be raining one day, snowing the next, and then all of a sudden it will feel like Spring. However, with classes so close to the dorms, the weather does not affect most students when traveling to class. The only "bad" weather we have had is snow, but the south normally never gets snow so it is expected. Classes are typically cancelled when there is bad weather.

Clemson offers an amazing college experience. Students return for the rest of their lives to see how the campus has changed and to support the Tigers. Although it is located in a small town, the school is big enough that there is never a dull moment, and the location only makes the student body closer to one another. As anyone who has been to Clemson knows, the students' blood here is orange, and the Clemson spirit is contagious for almost anyone who attends.
