Athletics: Athletics are a huge part of campus life. Many students are very passionate about being involved with the athletic schedule and success of each individual program. Team performance is very important, and fans are passionate about the team members and their lifestyle. School spirit is the way of life, and students engage regularly at athletic facilities.

Majors: I'm in the double major secondary education and mathematics program, and I wish they offered a 5 years masters in education like many other schools. However many schools seem to be hiring straight out of college and then having you get your masters while you teach for them, so I'm not overly concerned about that.

Academics: Professors range from great to, maybe not terrible, but bad. If you look at rate my professor(dot com) or the course grade distribution report(can be found by searching course grade distribution report on clemson home page) can really help you find out what teachers you want. Registration process just got redone, but it definitely helps to come in with a lot of credits, even if the course doesn't transfer, make sure that your credit hours do because if you have 12 or so it can boost you up so you get to register earlier than others with that. For the most failed classes, Clemson provides SI (supplemental instruction) which is like a class tutoring session, and is usually helpful. Also, general tutoring is also offered (for free) by the academic success center. I've used both, mainly for my math classes.

Academics: I'm in secondary education and mathematics( a double major) and for education, they put you in education classes and a classroom your very first year, usually your first semester. I really liked that because it gives you a chance early on to decide if you really think you'd like being a teacher. The math workload is pretty hard, because well its math, but not unbearable if you get okay teachers. Many education classes are in Tillman, which has the clock tower and is the most iconic building at Clemson, so it's cool to be in there I guess.

Scholarships: I got a good amount of financial aid, but a lot was because I was out-of-state. I now have just above in-state tuition if you count only my scholarships from Clemson. It would be nice to get more, but I'm just happy I got enough to be able to go.

Off-Campus Housing: There are some apartments really close to campus which is great for not commuting, but these are hard to get and more expensive (about $375-450) and you'll have to share a room still, and you may not have enough parking for your whole apartment. However, these are close ones are extremely safe. If you're willing to go a little farther off campus, you can find cheaper housing and get your own room and bathroom.

Local Atmosphere: Great pedestrian friendly downtown and lots of shops and restaurants

Athletics: Clemson athletics are some of the best I have ever seen. There is nothing better than a Clemson football game

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is very nice and very inexpensive compared to other colleges.

Transportation: On campus, there is a bus that can take you around the Clemson area. There is also a transit bus that can take you back to your dorm at night. They are sometimes very slow though and don't pick you up on time.

Weather: The weather is good at Clemson. It does rain every once in a while but it isn't too bad. The only thing that sucks is when it is raining, you have to walk to class in the rain. It is sunny quite often, but it can get quite hot.

Academics: The academics are very good. There are a lot of programs that students can go into. The professors in the biology department are very good and they help a lot. Curriculum is good and they really challenge you to try your best. It is quite easy to register for classes. A lot of study areas are biology, communication, and psychology.

Greek Life: Greek life is everywhere at Clemson. They tend to throw a lot of parties and mainly only Greeks are invited. Some of them are good and do a lot of social interacting. There are a lot of off campus houses available for Greeks to live in and some live on campus in the quad.

Academics: I am a biology major and Clemson and i enjoy this major. There are a lot of different programs that you can get involved in. There is a bit of a workload since the major is pretty hard to begin with. The teachers I have encountered were good teachers and very helpful.

Facilities: Clemson has some of the nation's top research facilities on campus and off campus. An hour away in Greenville, SC, the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU ICAR) is an internationally known automotive research center. Clemson also has facilities such as the Advanced Materials Center is Pendleton, SC, the Outdoors Lab in Pendleton, SC, several agricultural facilities, and the Clemson Experimental Forest.

Health & Safety: Clemson University is a very safe campus. We have our own campus police, campus fire station, and campus patrol during the night. Also, the Clemson city police are minutes away. Clemson police are very concerned with the safety of the students.

Local Atmosphere: The surrounding area of Clemson is an outdoorsman's dream with the lake and mountains nearby. The city of Clemson is not very large, but it has everything you need, from restaurants to recreation. Clemson is very much a college town, where the students make up most of the population.

Facilities: The life of a Clemson student is beyond awesome!!! I thought I was going to be homesick my freshman year and I was totally wrong! They make you feel welcome by casual hello's from strangers. Chivalry is great here. 85% of the time, a door was held open for me and the remaining percent was when I wanted to open the door myself. We love Jesus and we are not ashamed to tell you that we do, which is what I adore about Clemson. Overall, great school with a great atmosphere.

Off-Campus Dining: Our school practically has our own downtown which is filled with restaurants to choose from! Cost is affordable and there are some fancy restaurants for those moments you would like to take someone out on a date or for someone to take you out on a date. Perfect combination! Go to the BGR ( the Burger Joint) first...you'll thank me later.

Scholarships: When is comes to Clemson, you have to honestly make sure your financial aid is accurate. Sometimes during my process, I had to call numerous times about my aid and some of those calls weren't pretty, which was unexpected. You have to be on your A game about your money when you go through the process here.

Health & Safety: Clemson University is very aware about our eating habits by serving healthier options in the cafeteria which are very delicious. If you get hurt, the health center is there for you upon appointment unless emergency. Just be sure to ask for a doctor's note from there to get an excused absence if you schedule an appointment during a class. Campus Security is visible and does not have problems with you unless you have a problem abiding the law, which is understandable.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Clemson University are extremely serious when it comes to academics, especially when it comes to their core major, Engineering, which is also my major. It is indeed a hassle doing the work but it is worth it because when you apply to jobs, the person reading over your resume and application will most definitely be impressed because they know how prestige Clemson is. Totally worth it! :)

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I came to Clemson University because of the engineering program. The campus is great, but the professors are somewhat difficult. But hey, that's Clemson for you! They know this too which is why tutors are available daily and also they have counselors for those stressed out moments during the semester. They have great balance so I know that they care about the students, which is why I am glad to be a student there.

Weather: We do receive a good bit of rain at Clemson, but I enjoy that because it makes the campus beautiful. The temperature can get pretty hot during the summer, but not unbearably so.

3 College Senior

Parking: Parking stickers are over $100 per year, and spaces are still difficult to find on campus. There are plenty of commuter spaces, but they are all on the outskirts of campus.

Clemson offers an amazing college experience. Students return for the rest of their lives to see how the campus has changed and to support the Tigers. Although it is located in a small town, the school is big enough that there is never a dull moment, and the location only makes the student body closer to one another. As anyone who has been to Clemson knows, the students' blood here is orange, and the Clemson spirit is contagious for almost anyone who attends.
