Computers are available for student use at all hours of the day. The library has thirteen units for student use, and Kelly Hall has four additional units for student use. The library is open most nights until 10pm, and Kelly Hall is open to women until 11 pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday nights). Computerlabs are never very busy andare always accessible, both in the library's computer lab as well as in Kelly Hall.
For those students with laptops, wireless internet is also accessible in Kelly Hall. A laptop is a nice advantage and convenience to have as a student, but is by no means essential to the student's success. However, whether a student decides to bring a laptop or not, he or she should strongly consider purchasing a portable flash drive. Having a flash drive makes it much easier to store papers, assignments, and important documents without the fear of losing work. Finally, the Computer Services department occasionally sells old computers to students for a discount. In the Spring 2009 semester, Compaq and Dell desktops were being sold with monitor and all accessories for $75 each, and were guaranteed to be working upon delivery.
