Off-Campus Dining: There is a variety of food options off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Sometimes there are great food options served at the dining hall, but on most days the food is average. There is fried (and baked) chicken served every thursday. There are vegetarian options every day, but I don't think that it is diverse as it could be. The other dining options(sandellas, pizza hut/subconnection, etc) are good if you have dining dollars or can afford to eat your meals there.

Scholarships: I didn't have any trouble with the financial aid process. There are advisors in the financial aid office who can help you with the FAFSA or any other financial aid questions.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The buildings and facilities are all in good condition. There is a lot of grass and greeery. There is always an event going on and students get weekly emails about the activities that will be going on.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The main reason I came to Clayton State was the friendly upperclassman. There are many different interests around campus and many different clubs for those interests. No one will have trouble making friends with similar interests.

Academics: I haven't had one bad professor so far. There is a good variety of classes and registration is a breeze. You can adjust your workload to your liking. Some people only make all of their classes on tuesdays and thursdays so that they have mondays, wednesdays and fridays free. You can shape your schedule to fit your needs. There are study rooms on each floor of laker hall and any of the buildings on campus will have quiet places to sit and work.

Academics: You are grouped with people in your major in your earlier years, so you'll be able to meet people who will be on the same track.

Overall Experience: Building your schedule is very easy and you can make it fit your needs if you have other off-campus commitments like work. Some classes have 30-60 students and some classes are much smaller with 15-20. When registering for classes, you can see the maximum amount of seats a class can have and how many students have registered, so you'll have an idea before you go.

I haven't run into any bad professors, but there is a drop/add period if you do end up not liking a professor or class.

Overall Experience: Alumni are very involved with CSU. There are workshops and job fairs available through the Career Services office that can help you learn about jobs and internships. Students are also able to access Laker Career Zone which is a place for employers to post job listings with all the information you need to apply. The Career Services office is one of the best resources available at the college. You won't have any trouble finding full time/part time work, internships or volunteer opportunities.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are a lot of international students and events around campus surrounding culture and diversity.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms aren't traditional, so you wont have to share a bedroom, but you will share a bathroom with one person. The kitchenette and living room are shared between all four suite mates. People occasionally left trash in the hallways (A bottle or wrapper here or there), but overall the building wasn't very messy. The elevator broke down A LOT, so beware of that especially if you live on the higher floors. The fire alarm went off 5 or 6 times throughout the year, including once during finals week. The laundry rooms were pretty empty during the week days since most people did laundry on the weekends.

In the upperclassman apartments, there is more space and everyone has their own bathrooms. There is a full kitchen and living room shared amongst the suite mates, as well as a patio and washer and dryer. Clayton Station also has a pool near the entrance.

Local Atmosphere: If you don't have a car or know anyone with a car, you will be very limited with things to do around CSU. Southlake mall isn't very good. There is an AMC close but like I said, if you don't have a car it will still be difficult to get to. There are lots of things to do around campus and off campus (skating, parties, etc) and there are sometimes shuttles to bring you there.

Overall, you need a car to best enjoy your the local atmosphere at Clayton State.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: There are varsity teams as well as a good variety of intramural sports students can participate in. There is no football team, however there are basketball teams, soccer teams, a girls tennis team and more! There is also a gym available everyday as long as you have your laker card.

Overall Experience: I'm having a great experience at Clayton State and plan on graduating here.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: Clayton State has one of the safest campuses in Georgia.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Its okay, could be better.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Dining is great, you have a lot to choose from.

5 College Junior

Facilities: The campus is very accommodating, even the events!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The guys here are pretty normal.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I'm not sure because I still live on campus.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I'm not too sure because I don't really go out much .

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It's not the best but it's not the worst either. On campus is very safe, off campus it depends on the area.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Clayton State is one the most diverse universities in my opinion.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I believe that they're strict when needed.
