4 College Junior

Academic Experience: my fire science program is fantastic. the training is as good as any fire dept academy

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: the fact that such a small college had a fire science program is wonderful.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: my school is unique because of the rather small size of it which allows you the chance to get to know your professors and other students better

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: my credits from other community colleges I have attended were easily transferred

4 College Junior

Facilities: our school is very small for your average community college but has a beautiful campus overlooking the columbia river in Astoria.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: the online courses are easily accessed and easy to understand and use

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I did not find the financial aid office to be very helpful when i had issues in receiving my FAFSA money

4 College Junior

Student Body: The typical student at my school are your typical small town folk trying to get ahead in the limited job field with an education

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The resources at my college are fantastic and easily used.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: the computer network at my school is easily used and accessed on my campus

3 College Junior

Career Services: For my fire science program I feel that the job prospects are limited but the training and education I receive will help increase my chances.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm a engineering/physics major, I have had problems communicating with my adviser, however, overall, the experience has been great!

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Community Colleges are very high in Oregon compared to California, however, the staff have been very helpful in assisting me with my financial aid.

3 College Senior

Student Body: My school consists of a combination, young and older students. Many preparing for transfer, others who have started later in their careers and wish to go to the nursing program.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The college tuition is doable, and the financial aid will contact you if something is added or taken away from your financial aid.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The instructors will help you if you're not understanding the topic of the class, including homework, essays, and other course activities. Plus some of the instructors manage the tutoring labs.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I was a little nervous about taking online classes, because I was used to listening to the instructor give out their lectures. However I needed to take a history class for my degree, and they were only offered online at the time. So I took one, and I liked it because it was very flexible with my schedule, and everything was due on one day.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The instructors at CCC are very involved with the students and are always looking for ways to better communication between themselves and their students. Instructors' office hours may create some conflict with a student's schedule. With that being said, instructors are more than happy to set aside time outside of their available office hours to meet with a student. The curriculum ranges from easy to extremely difficult. What ever the course's degree of difficulty may be, the instrucors are passionate about what it is they are teaching. This encourages students to work towards a strong grade. Overall, Clatsop Community College is a great place to kick start your secondary education.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's far better than that of a 4-year school and that's all that mattered to me.
