Transportation: Not great, bad scheduling, and you have to switch buses a lot.

Niche User

Transportation: It's pretty reliable if you need to use it.

Niche User

Transportation: The cab services suck, but Student Escort is cool. Too bad it only runs within a quarter mile of campus.

Niche User

Transportation: The bus system is convenient, and you can always easily get cab service.

Niche User

Transportation: It's not so convenient. There are buses, but they aren't regular, and they aren't comfortable.

Overall Experience: At times, it feels as though the school doesn't care very much about the individual students, but more about the institution as a whole. The school is very strict about transferring credits from other schools. I personally am interested in learning some things that Clark doesn't offer, and I have been told that I can't get credit for any of the classes I want to take.

Overall Experience: I loved Clark. I am glad I went, and I don't think I could've been happier anywhere else. The kids are very friendly and open-minded; it's also easy to meet many different kinds of people.

Overall Experience: Clark is okay. I don't believe in the `true love' philosophy of schools, which says there is only one perfect school you can be happy at. I think most types of people can be happy here at Clark because it's a liberal arts school and there is plenty of choice intellectual work, as well as a lot of different campus groups. I don't think Clark is the best school I've ever seen, because as far as I can see, the people at Swarthmore have got to be the happiest, smartest people I've ever met, plus they can drink whenever without punishment, but Clark will get you through four years with friends and a degree worth having.

Overall Experience: I sometimes think about what it would have been like if I went somewhere else-it could have been great, it could have been horrible, and I may never have met some of my friends. You can never regret or look back in life, except in order to remind yourself were you want to go.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I was happy in my four years at Clark. I was also happy to leave when it was time to graduate!

Niche User

Overall Experience: I never wish I was somewhere else. I love Clark.

Overall Experience: I am fully confident that my years spent at Clark were, and will be, the best times of my life. In high school, they lie to you when they tell you that they are preparing you for the real world and that they are preparing you to be an adult. Well, at Clark they never say that, but it happens anyway. Clark has made such a huge difference in my life that I honestly believe I would not be the person that I am today had I not come to Clark, met the people here, and been part of the community.

Niche User

Overall Experience: Clark offers amazing and unique experiences if you go after them. Studying abroad, the Fifth-Year-Free program, and special academic focuses like Holocaust and Genocide Studies can make your experience really meaningful, if you're interested. If you want to mindlessly drink your way through college, don't do it at Clark. If you want to interact and grow as a person, you can and will do that here. I wouldn't trade my four years at Clark for the world.

Overall Experience: I loved Clark because of the people, and I have great memories. Even the bad ones had a purpose.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I have had a great experience at Clark-I have met amazing people and received an excellent education. I can't imagine being at any other college.

Niche User

Overall Experience: Clark was actually one of my last choices when I went to visit, but I'm really glad I ended up here, because it's never dull. Everyone has a story to tell at the end of the day about their classes, classmates, professors, or Worcester in general.

Overall Experience: Clark was an awesome place to meet many different people and have opportunities to try different classes and concentrations. I will never forget those whom I've befriended and the professors who taught me what I know now. If you're looking for a school that isn't too large, and professors who have time to talk with you, then this is the place to be. You just have to get past the fact that Clark sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of Worcester. Think of it as a rich town in between two not-so-rich towns. For you people who live in the North shore, think of it as driving through Methuen, then you hit Lawrence, then to Andover-a culture shock in 10 minutes driving down Route 110.

Overall Experience: I'm happy. I made some really good friends. Clark really does become home after a while.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I absolutely loved Clark; I wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I love Clark and the education and friends I have there. I will be a senior and only wish that I could spend a few more years there.

Niche User

Overall Experience: My friends made my experience great, and I've learned a tremendous amount.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I am glad I ended up at Clark. I was tempted to transfer at one point, but I stuck it out and ended up falling in love with the school and the people.

Niche User

Overall Experience: Clark fits like a glove, and you'll know if it's for you relatively soon. I've loved meeting different people, hanging out until 6 a.m., water fights on Spree Day, checking out campus events and lectures, taking the walk of shame, trying out different campus groups, exploring the library, and oh yeah, the academics are good, too.

Niche User

Overall Experience: I believe the years I invested there were well spent.

The students say it best: Clark is a great place to spend four important—perhaps the most important—years of your life. Those who go to Clark report being glad they went. They say that they learned what they wanted to learn in their major, had a lot of fun, and grew up in the process. No campus is perfect, but despite Clark’s flaws, students still manage to fall in love with it and pursue their degrees until the end. Clark’s strengths lie in its academics, its community, and the city in which it resides. Even though that same city gives rise to some of Clark’s largest problems, it also exemplifies the diversity that Clark strives to provide for its students on campus. The city’s restaurants also provide a welcome escape from Clark’s dreadful meal plan!

Although Clark suffers from a poor social scene, low enthusiasm for organized sports, New England weather, and the double-edged sword of apathy and tolerance, Clarkies leave the school realizing that they have just lived through an incredible academic and social experience. It is an experience that stays with them throughout their lives via Clark’s professional reputation, as well as the bonds formed with professors and fellow Clarkies. Students agree: By the time graduation day rolls around, you will be equipped to face the world as an educated adult, but you will wish you had just a little more time at Clark.
