Local Atmosphere: There is much to do in the city in which my school is located. Outside of where Clark Atlanta University is located is a beautiful big city that has many attractions. There are many big buildings, major parks, the Georgia Aquiarium, the cocoa cola factory, the MLK center, and much more.

The city of Atlanta caters to lots of college students. There's Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, Spelman, Georgia State, Georiga Tech, and Georgia Perimeter. Therefore, with all this student traffic, there is always somthing going on in the city or on campus. Atlanta has been fortunate to host some of the country's most popular events, including Birthday Bash, MEGA fest (an extremely popular spiritual retreat), Atlanta Film Festival, Atlanta Football Classic, and a variety of other major events that attract tourists as well as students. One of the social benefits of choosing a school in Atlanta is that there will always be several parties after the event that you have attended that are guaranteed to be worthwhile.

Clark Atlanta University has the unofficial meeting place for all the students in the AUC—the Promenade. Although often reduced to just being a trendy fashion runway, this is where students can develop lifelong friendships with some of the most intellectual, beautiful, and in many cases, most ambitious students.
