2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid at City Colleges of Chicago - Wilbur Wright College: I'm not eligible for financial aid. I don't know the reason. I make less then $30,000. I wish the financial aid office could tell me the reason or explain me why I'm not eligible.

Tuition & Financial Aid at City Colleges of Chicago - Truman College: I didn't know that I would be considered a part time student. I am going to be studying full time, but since only 7 credits are counted towards my GPA I didn't get enough financial aid to cover the programs costs. That's why I am looking for a scholarship to help me pay my remaining tuition and books.

Tuition & Financial Aid at City Colleges of Chicago - Malcolm X College: My tuition and finalcial aid is bad because i not reciving finalcial help from goverment , which this makes it really difficult to work and be a full student. I have apply to different schoolarships to help me out but i still dont recive any answer. My experience between my concelor was ok but i still need more help from him.

Tuition & Financial Aid at City Colleges of Chicago - Malcolm X College: the schools tuition is much cheaper than universities, but i still don't understand the high cost of tuition from all over. school is needed all around for people the excel in real life. how do colleges expect people to enter the world with thousands of dollars in debt. my education here i feel is not worth the money but a city college is the cheapest way to start off with out drowning your self in debt. i cannot receive financial aid due to my current income, but i hardly have enough income to make tuition payments. also my experience in the financial aid office has been horrible the attitudes on these women are appalling. you try to be polite and yet they still act like you're wasting their time when they are being paid for it. if they do not like customer service they should not have took the job.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid at City Colleges of Chicago - Truman College: Since I have a previous Bachelor's degree, most of my financial aid money was already gone when I got here. But, I needed to get the last little bit to help me pay for last semester. The financial aid guy was awesome at figuring out how much I had left borrow and getting me set up for that. Unfortunately, to receive the remainder of my loan after tuition was paid, I had to wait a couple of months to get it. The reason for this, I was told is that sometimes young people have signed up for classes and got the full financial aid package, and took the money and ran, never showed up for classes. So to avoid this you have to attend class a certain portion of the semester before you can get the money, and they break it into two installments. (Always a few bad apples ruining it for the rest of us!)
