2 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Academic advising is not good. Theyre not on top of their game

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Needs a bit of work

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of education is worth every penny. I have been gettin gfinancial aid for two years and it has been great

College Junior

Online Courses: I have no experience taking online courses at this college.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Registering for classes online is the best way to go, and doing so early allowed me to get the exact classes that what I wanted. And there was no hassle having to wait in line etc.

I was able to transfer credits, but do so right away as it takes awhile for them to be evaluated and processed.

College Junior

Online Courses: Did not take online courses.

Campus Resources: There isn't an athletic center on campus, which stinks. But, there are many student groups that hold various activities and make themselves available. The library is great, there are always a lot of helpful librarians available when needed.

There could be an improvement on campus regarding school pride, maybe a pride week. Everyone seems to just go about their daily routine of classes, with the exception of group activities, like bake sales, informationals etc.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: At times the network reliability is questionable. There are times when the connection just is working or its extremely slow.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I don't know who is in the student body; I'm sure the majority of student don't know either.

College Senior

Online Courses: I have not taken any online courses.

3 College Senior

Facilities: At Harold Washington, it feels as if everyone is there only for their education - nothing more.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've had some hiccups but it's overall been pretty great and easy. I love being able to do my courses online.

College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I'm only in my first year so I am not familiar with my program.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The only headache is the registration process. The people aren't super friendly and the girl adding my classes for Spring put Geography instead of Geology. It was too late to change it by the time I realized the mistake. It's ok though, it still counts as an elective.

College Sophomore

Facilities: I go to school online so I don't know anything about the social scene, campus life etc.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: All of my professors last semester were really great and understanding when I had a personal crisis the last two weeks of school. They really worked with me to allow extra time and be understanding when I wasn't giving 100%.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I'm not even close to completing the general education requirements needed to transfer, so I have no idea what the post-grad services are like.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity at the school. Sometimes I do not feel safe going there but since they have installed the metal detectors/card swipe access, I feel a bit safer.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition and financial aid process was ok at first. However, at the end of the Fall semester I received a check from the school with no explanation. I assumed it was a reimbursement but it was actually supposed to be used for Spring semester. I thought the financial aid was supposed to be automatically withdrawn for each semester. Because of the mix up, I have to pay out of pocket for this Spring semester.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Since I do my classes online, I have not checked out all of the resources. I've been to the library once and it was nice and quiet.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I do not use the computers at school except for when I take a test at the school. Those computers are very slow.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I love online courses as they allow me to go at my own pace and fit into my work schedule. The workload isn't that bad and having the syllabus with the assignments for the whole course really helps. I simple put all the due dates into my calendar and follow along each day. I haven't had a problem with professors-they have all been nice and answer my emails promptly. There is a lack of peer-to-peer interaction as most of it is through the Discussion Boards. I don't mind the lack of interaction but I can see how some people would prefer to have discussions in person.

3 College Junior

Facilities: I enjoy how all the unique and diverse clubs have activities for the students, put on find raisers, and get involved in the community, local and around the city.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process has gone pretty smoothly for me. Most of the financial aid advisors are very helpful, there are a few that aren't as friendly or knowledgeable, but for the most part the experience has been great. If you don't plan ahead and get your info set up early there will be a wait, as many students tend to procrastinate.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Currently I attend a community college that upon successcul completion will supply me with an Associates degree. The path that my counselor has put me on has been perfect. They picked the right classes and kept me informed of all the tools necessary to have a smooth transfer when the time comes.
