4 College Freshman

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: enough to do to keep you entertained but nothing super exciting

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The locals are very friendly and the general are feels very safe as long long as you don't go wondering too far.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: CNU is within twenty minutes of the VA historical triangle (Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown). There is a lot of history and tourism in the area. CNU is about thirty to forty-five minutes from VA Beach, but there are closer local beaches. The university is adjacent to a five mile trail in the woods that wraps around the Mariner's Museum and Peninsula Fine Arts Center. The trail has many opportunities to enjoy nature and take gorgeous pictures. There are several other parks within twenty minute radius. All of the cities in Hampton Roads offer numerous activities throughout the year especially during the holidays. There are two main malls that students can go to: Patrick Henry and Peninsula Town Center. Newport News does however have several smaller quaint shopping strips for the local community like City Center or Port Warwick. If students wish to partake in nightlife, there are local bars within walking distance and some clubs about twenty minutes away. For more the students can go across the water to VA Beach or Norfolk.
