Local Atmosphere: It's in Newport News, which isn't the prettiest place to be, but Yorktown, Williamsburg, Busch Gardens and the Beach are all within a 30 minute commute.

Campus Housing: Santoro is the best freshman dorm because of how close everyone gets. Upperclassmen housing is very nice compared to anywhere else.

Facilities: There are many different options to get involved with around campus

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: There are less options than at bigger schools.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Our athetics are good for a division 3 school.

5 College Senior

Majors: The different majors are known for their diversity and success.

5 College Senior

Majors: The professors at this university are dedicated to ensure student success and it shines through the programs.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few dining options across from campus, but other than chain restaurants you'll have to take a bit of a drive.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: There is a strong chance of receiving financial aid if you apply for it, however the aid provided is usually very little as they try to accommodate as many students as possible.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: There are many opportunities for shopping, going out to a party, museums, or just a day at the beach. It is relatively easy to find something fun to to do off campus. The student community is very social and friendly so it is quite easy to go out and do something everyone enjoys or a nice place everyone likes going to.

5 College Senior

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity but there is always room for a lot more. Many are from Virginia and the local area. So the population has a majority of those individuals.

5 College Senior

Scholarships: There is a special department that deals with it for the students and makes it easy for students to focus on studies and student life. Most anybody gets financial as long as you fill out your FAFSA.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Many teams are District 3 if nott all but many could play at the District 2 or even District 1 depending on the sport.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: The ease of getting off-campus housing that is close to campus is difficult, you usually have to get parental assistance to make sure rental credit is there. The price is high but if you have more room mates it makes the price a little better than on campus housing depending on the number of people.
