3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The courese are fully covered by my finacial aid, but the books are getting to be a little too much. They expect us to finish the course correctly but we can't afford the materials

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Im a nursing major that plans to get their BN and move onto medical school, and the classes so far have fallen short. There isn't much variety and the academic advisors at the cambridge center have no idea what they are doing.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: It really depends on ones learning style, however, I feel that this college does an exceptional job of creating tools to help online learning. It is easier to get a quick response in the classroom setting. Initiative is absolutely key to success with online learning. There has to be more planning with getting feedback on assignments before deadlines. The flexibility with the online setting is great in contrast to a traditional class.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computer resources here are nice. There are plenty of computers on the two levels in the library. The hours of operation is also convenient. The only downfall is the Wi-Fi access. In a couple of the buildings it is very difficult to connect.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I like the online courses although its difficult when the teacher does not respond to emails very quickly.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I think the post-grad is average. Students are more likely to attend Chesapeake to finish pre-recs then transfer to another college.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The professors are extremely intelligent and helpful. Majority of them taught at larger colleges and wanted to downsize so they can know there students.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer network has its good and bad days. We work with what we can get.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The facilities on campus are nice. The library is very nice, the staff are always willing to help. The academic support center is wonderful! There are always tutors willing to help with any area of study.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am working towards a general studies degree. The classes i have taken so far have been sort of mediocre. The workload is very low and once you graduate here with a major, it is not as convincing as if you had graduated from a university.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: This is only a community college so i am not expecting five star facilities. Overall, they actually arent that bad. The librarians are very helpful especially.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: This school offers things like club events, job fairs, and afternoon movie showings. They are very interactive with their students and are avid members of the community.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The majority of students at Chesapeake are hard workers and are more than willing to do the work that is assigned to them. They are all very friendly, and helpful.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The networks at chesapeake are always up and running. However, sometimes the pc and mac worlds clash and the services are no longer reliable. other than this, they are very effective.

2 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: My tuition and financial aid experience was very difficult, I have been a student at Chesapeake since 2009, I have heard of other students in different programs having financial assistance thrown at them, but my experience was very, very different. It is impossible for me to get any kind of aid or even scholarships with Chesapeake College. One semester FASFA stated that I was potentially eligible for a Stafford Loan, once I received my letter from Chesapeake College it stated a totally different thing, they stated that they had no more funds. Mostly everyone I talk to has had the same equally experience with Financial aid department.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: My online classes experience was a great one! I really enjoyed it and prefer online classes.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There is certainly a great deal of ethnic, religious, and political diversity at Chesapeake College. I have met many people from different countries like Pakistan and Honduras learned a little bit more about their cultures from them. The student body seems to me to be quite accepting of others with more diverse backgrounds. I have yet to hear a single racist, sexist, or any otherwise bigoted comment made on this campus.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Because I have attended nearly every class in which I have been enrolled, I have personally had very few hassles or frustrations with any type of schedule at Chesapeake. Everything is made abundantly clear at the beginning of each semester.

I have not transferred any credits yet.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Because I am taking Liberal Arts and Sciences, my program is pretty average in most areas. The facilities offered to all students is quite impressive though, particularly the library and music studios.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: This is probably the aspect of the school with which I have been the most happy. I have been very pleasantly surprised with the amount of helpfulness, passion, and expertise that is on display with my teachers. If I have needed help or clarity with a particular subject, my teachers have always been on hand to provide support.

There is also an ample amount of special study options for those who are looking to even further better themselves. I have enrolled in many of these programs, and I plan to be involved in even more in the future.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: While the education I am getting is well worth the money, I have not received any help whatsoever from the school in regards to financial aid, despite qualifying for it. Many of the times that I have gone to the financial aid office for help, I felt largely on my own and like it was largely up to me to figure out the whole process on my own.

The actual classes are well worth the money though. I have thoroughly enjoyed almost all of them.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I wanted to take African American History this semester . But I was notified that that class is not available this semester. There isn't an instructor. I was very disappointed.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am a Registered Nurse, these classes are towards my undergrads program and this will be my first semester at chesapeak college.

College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Despite having to drive about 20 minutes to go to class, Chesapeake College is more of a convenience, than a hassle. With two different locations about 40 minutes apart and classes available online, they make sure that you're able to get the classes you need done. Their advising office has always been a big help to mean. I've gone in before with a stack of mail all college related and exclaimed, "help"! In no time at all, I had my fafsa filled out, was registered and paid.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They definitely are very flexible no matter what your schedule is like.
