Career Services: In 2012 I completed my AAS in Medical Assisting at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and I had a difficult time obtaining a job position related to my degree, due to being a new graduate. The university had no part in assisting job placement, and I would strongly suggest they would invest in that.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Charter College helped me immensely through the financial aid process, but the issue was that there is a monthly tuition balance due, and for my financial situation at the moment, it is difficult to compromise, and there were limited options.

Facilities: I'm still too new of a student to evaluate.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I am only taking online classes.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: I have enrolled in online classes only.

Campus Resources: No resources that I'm aware of.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Very expensive - I hope it's worth it.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Does not seem to differ from most trade schools

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Very forthcoming with information, easy registration, motivates students to obtain scholarships, and encourages students to excel for additional school tuition discounts.

Academic Experience: I like that my major is a growing field. My classes are all online therefore I have no experience with facilities. The workload is manageable however again since I just started a week ago my experience is limited.

Class Registration - very easy

Workload - normal college level

Special Study Options - none that I am aware of

Programs Most Associated with Charter - this is a new campus, but it appears Internet Technology is most popular

Career Services: I have just started attending class so I have no reference for this question.

Student Body: I am taking online classes.

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity with the other students, have had no bad experience with any of them. Everyone is kind and respectful and I love being able to ask questions and even help one another get clarification on instructions. It's nice to see the others work their ways through the courses and see that light at the end of the tunnel with them. I see that some students have wonderful religious backgrounds and there have been no inappropriate comments and I appreciate that.

Facilities: I really do not know, I am an online student only but the school campus is always clean and the environment is always friendly.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Because of the feedback I gave I would have thought there would have been some offer of a discount off of my initial tuition, I think there should be a discount based upon the rating a student gives to the teachers.

4 College Senior

Career Services: I really do no know I am not a post grad yet, but I have heard that they have been good experiences for others.

Academic Experience: I like the program I chose and I the workload has been ok with some courses and way to much with others. Anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology and pharmacology should have been split up into two courses. I only got about 4-5 hours of sleep every night, and I would shake the next day from lack of sleep. If these courses were split up not only do I think I would have retained more but my health along with my learning experience would have been better. Other than that I have been able to get my work done, but it hasn't always been easy. I do love and appreciate all the things I have learned.

Academic Experience: I have mostly had good instructors, but some have been very poor. My first two coding classes had the worst instructors yet and coding was what I was going to school for. The weekly lectures were just short messages up to five minutes long, they offered no help and to get an email back from these two teachers was like pulling teeth. The good instructors have been great and I hope that Charter takes the feedback seriously and gets instructors that love teaching.

Academic Flexibility: There have been some days where the coursework is easy to navigate and other days I think I'll never get the work done. In order to spend time with my kids I have to stay up fairly late and that makes thing difficult. Initially I was told that if I set aside 2-3 hours every night I would get my work done. This was not the case and I feel like I was lied to in that sense. I wish the school had been more honest about that, but it's too late now and I guess I have realized that nothing comes easy and I am proud of the work I have turned out.

Campus Resources: I use a Mac and for one of the courses I had I was able to borrow a computer from the school lab. The computer was easy to use and at one point it needed a product key to update the Excel program I was using it for. I dropped it off and was able to pick it up the next morning and I was very impressed.

Campus Resources: For the most part I have had good experiences at the campus even though I am an online student only. I go to the campus to pick up my books and talk to the financial aid counselor and all my experiences there have been good.

Online Courses: I, for the most part have had a good experience with the online courses. My main issues have been some poor instructors who have not acknowledged me or re-checked my grades, especially tests that they have acknowledged as faulty and have not given me points for the correct answers that I did have. For the most part though I have had good teachers. I love the forums and the interaction with other students. I have very few problems with finding my ways within the courses. Overall my experience has been great.

Academic Experience: The first time I went through Charter College, they offered only Certificate and Associate Degree programs. Now, they also offer Bachelor and Masters programs as well, in a few areas of study. A few of the career courses they offer are Criminal Justice, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, HVAC, Computer Information Technology (on several levels!) and Business.

Academic Experience: I'm only just about to begin working through the Medical Assisting program at my college, but I've already completed the process of getting my Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology. The experience was incredible, really. My classes are a mix of business administration, leadership, medical security and privacy, and a very extensive course list of medical billing and coding. Every class felt unique, and each one presented it's challenges and rewards. I will never forget the things I learned, in part, because of how they were presented to me and how I was instructed to work through them.
